I did not but i do believe James took some when he was doing his car. You'll have to see when he sees this.

Long as it comes with everything I would be in. I just don't want to cut ecu wires at all. If I have to cut a few wires at each wheel, I can deal with that. |

If this is as simple and easy as yall say.... then I don't see how more people aren't all over this....... I think if you do the DIY for this, it will get a lot more attention...... |
I can see 3 people for sure:
Fireman3361 djtodd TerribleONE Still need a few more. I will get in touch with RL and the supplier for the sensors to make sure nothing has changed price wise. Keep in mind that all pricing will be based on the fact we get 5. I will also start working on the diy and post it up, hopefully by early next week. |

I have uploaded a basic diagram to post 2. I will try and have more of a write up done sometime in the next few days. If you click on the picture it will take you to photobucket. There is a zoom button in the bottom right corner to see the text of the diagrams

I'm in. Can I get everything through you guys.... Harness and all?
Do you have a price if we get 5 ppl to buy this for everything?!? |

Is there anything else that I may need for install? You will need a few things: -You will need a spool of wire, some buttconnectors, and crimpers. -10k resistor -L7805 regulator or a 12v to 5v converter. I have run the L7805 for years and it is a couple of bucks. you may have a 12v to 5v if you run aftermarket sensors. -Its also recommended that you have a laptop for easy configuration, but is not required if you have the digital adjuster. -Patch harness (http://www.wiringspecialties.com/vqse3ecupaha.html) You'll notice i took out the uprev, as misfire detection has not been a problem. If you absolutely want a harness made, we might be able to work something out. Keep in mind that I can not give you a 100% plug and play harness as some of the wires get long (the ones going from the wheelsensors back to the main sensor for instanace). You will still need to tap into certain wires as well. As for pricing I still need to confirm nothing has changed. I would say if you budgeted $2100 that it would be more then enough. That's if you want the no lift shift, digital adjuster, ect... the full load deal. |

I understand this. I don't mind tapping into those and running wires, I just don't want to cut any of my wires going to the ecu..... |

well not ordering anything from there till we have a for sure deal. keep us posted |
updated post 2 with a written DIY. I wrote it all at once, so I may need to make some corrections/edits later, but should give you a general idea of what's required. We will see if there is enough interest for the last two kits with that, if there is I will rip the car apart and take corresponding pictures.
|
So who all is in on this......
|
If anyone wants the canbus model I should be able to grab those as well. This would be for the AT guys or people that do not require the no lift shift. You would not need to tap any wheel speed sensors. My guess is around 1700(including all the small stuff) for everything with the canbus but need to confirm with RL

I was using my phone with crappy signal or I would have looked around and found it for you. This thread does have a lot of usual info, but the majority of it is in the first two post and the one above..... cant wait for this! |
so if we get the 5th person for the group buy, how long would it take for us to have these kits in our hands ? And also would this work for a 350z ?

I know there are 350 guys that have used this kit. Their wheelspeed sensors are the older analogue type if I am not mistaken. This means they should be able to hook the kit up right to their wheelspeed sensors without the converters we need. With that being said, I would research it on my350 just to be sure. While I am confident about this, I can not guaranty it. edit* this guy is running the system on his stock wss (350z) http://my350z.com/forum/engine-and-d...market-tc.html |
Lol i was trying to get a 350z to jump in the group buy but i guess it doesnt do us any good.

edit: i can see how you got confused. I need to come up with a different name for the sensors. I will change it to converters lol |

Anyone on the fence about RLTC, it is awesome! It makes driving a higher powered car so much more enjoyable/controllable. Yes it is expensive, but it was the best single item I ever purchased for my M3. |
