No the pins are held in there pretty tight, you can just get some small metal wire to wrap around the pin in the spot where the C clip goes so there is no chance it can slide out.

Thanks...i was just trying to depress it and it doesnt seem like theres any play on the pins

yeah since the spring is a bit longer there is always a bit of pressure on the pins so you should not have an issue with no clips or anything

Just when I thought it couldn't get better. Drove a week without a spring, loved it vs OEM, now with the spring installed love it even more! Best use of $20 yet.

JB1 06-14-2011 06:36 PM

Got mine today and it went straight from the mailbox into my car! Ok, after taking it out of the envelope of course ... Thanks again Nick!

will PM tracking info

Surprising difference in the feel of the clutch pedal at the grab point. I really didn't expect much of a change but it was significant.

For those with a difficult removal, it helped to pull the pin with needle nose pliers while wiggling the clutch peddle at the fully depressed position and back and forth a few inches from there.

Thanks for the work you went through putting together and delivering this mod - miuch appreciated!!!

esfourteen 06-17-2011 10:49 AM

Glad everyone is enjoying them. It's really strange that some bottom pins are being stubborn, mine is really loose. An old friend used to describe this as "throwing a hotdog down a hallway" loose.

Billy02987 06-17-2011 11:13 AM

any extra springs? PM me if so, thanks man.

Armonster 06-17-2011 02:34 PM

Installed two days ago and loving it. Feels like a normal clutch now. Shifts are much smoother.

Please ensure I am on the list. This sounds great.

esfourteen 06-17-2011 05:38 PM

everyone who PM'd me or replied is on the list, I am just waiting to hear back from AK, I'll probably have to get a monthly vendor membership.

Mandingo 06-17-2011 07:19 PM

Just installed and drove around. Love it.

This is definitely going to be a huge deal for 6mt owners! Reminds me of the bimmer CDV delete extravaganza!

torpedo2k 06-18-2011 10:05 AM

Going out to install mine right now...

torpedo2k 06-18-2011 03:31 PM

Very easy install. Only removed bottom pin. Like the new feel. Pretty sure the spring will settle in and be slightly softer than it is now. Should be about perfect.
Thanks!

RedBullRR 06-20-2011 09:01 AM

How much picked up locally?

pty370z 06-20-2011 11:02 AM

I already got mine.. Haven't installed it yet because the car is at the dealer on scheduled maintenance.. Will install when I get it back..

Thanks esfourteen.. Rep added..!

EVOnomore 06-23-2011 06:50 AM

Can not wait to install mine.Just wondering when the next G.B. batch will be available.

pty370z 06-23-2011 11:04 AM

I already installed mine and I'm getting used to it.. I've been driving my Z for more than 1.5 years with the clutch as it was..

Clutch pedal is softer and I feel it's shorter to press too now.. I LIKE!

JTTZR 06-24-2011 06:30 PM

It's here. Thanks a lot, mate. Will install on Sunday, hopefully.
