I understand that and we will post them when they become available.

This isn't the only product/project we have going on at the moment.

I know, and I'm very excited to see them. Please keep us updated.

So neither the 2.5" or the 3" are going to pass inspection ? Also the angled and stacked, which is which ? I see two different muffler designs. One with the mufflers length wise with the vehicle and the other with them touching at the back. What is the pro/con of having either one ?

zman1910 04-23-2009 09:34 PM

Sorry for all the negativity on here George. The fact is that the 370 community isn't as familiar with GT Motorsports the way the 350 community is. I swear people would give their life for you guys over there...lol

Any plans for HFC's and headers? Full exhaust basically?

B1nks 04-24-2009 06:41 PM

I'm all about GTM here but it's like you said and I originally started on the 350 forums so I know a little about the guys haha. Hit me back with some answers GTM I wanna get it at 950 ! Also people keep comparing this exhaust to the Stillen one and the supposed horsepower results with the Stillen exhaust, but to me the Stillen exhaust isn't a true dual exhaust like this one because it still uses a Y-pipe so I would think this exhaust would be more performance oriented.

crbn_fbr 04-25-2009 03:06 AM

You know I think Im leaning more towards this exhaust now. I just really want to hear some better clips, you can barely hear the sound with the dyno clips. Right at the end of the one with the rear shot when they get down on the tips sounds good though.

Is the 2.5" with angled and burnt single wall tips? I'm kinda confused on why the "near production" pics show a 3" design which is the H design, do you have "near production" pics for the 2.5"? I'm not feeling the 3" rolled tips. Can you clarify this please? Thanks

Yeah is it angled out and burnt single wall tips?!
And better sound clips will be amazing!
Please let us know! And also are you guys selling intakes and headers?

Correct. We will have 2 different muffler configurations available. One will be stacked (which the mufflers are stacked together, similar to the OEM design) and one will be angled (where the mufflers are separate of each other and are angled on each side of the car).

The angled setup will provide better flow and weight less, the stacked setup will provide a more stealth appearance.

HFC's are a maybe at this point, headers probably not to be honest.

We do have our resonated test pipes in stock now though!

Correct, the Stillen does not have an X pipe, it has a Y pipe, and it is as much as a true dual as the factory exhaust is.

Guys as soon as I get a production version on a car I promise I will get some better sound clips for you. Due to the lack of interest in the exhaust this is not on of our top priorities, so it might be a while :(

I appreciate all the support from our loyal fans who know what we are really about :D

Skorch 04-28-2009 02:07 PM

I know you guys are working hard on other projects, but the lack of interest on this exhaust may be at least partially due to the lack of videos/sound clips of it. I don't know about others on this forum, but the sound of the exhaust is very important to me and I'd like to know what I'm buying prior to paying for it.

George@GTM 04-28-2009 03:49 PM

I understand that, when they are available I will post them up (as stated previously a few times) and then people can decide if they want to purchase the exhaust or not.

Although at that time they will be looking at the retail price.

So would the angled exhaust be louder then? Is it the angled or the stacked version in this video?.....

SOLISIMO 05-09-2009 06:55 AM

I cant believe you guys believe that you gained 37 HP with a cat back on an NA car LOL Im interested in this exhaust but for the G37. Can I get in the group buy here bc its slow over at my37.com

BTW before flaming vendors you might wanna check their history in building cars :)

crbn_fbr 05-11-2009 01:52 AM

Well I'm in I guess. I can call them to get my questions answered(yes I'm picky). As long as its got angeled ti tips!

Thanks bud, I think the guys over on this site still have a lot to learn as far as high performance modifications go. I mean its nice to think you would gain 30rwhp from an exhaust, but it just isn't realistic.

George -

Thanks for the quick PM about the exhaust. Quick question...Any expected power gains from the angled mufflers vs the stacked design? The angled mufflers seem to be more direct for better flow put who knows. The dyno figures you posted were for the stacked version I believe...do you have sound clips and dynos for the angled design on the 370?

B1nks 05-17-2009 11:59 AM

I think im just going to get the because there are no clips of the angled yet and it doesn't seem like anyone is going to be purchasing them until there are. GTM has actually not updated anything on this exhaust as far as sound clips in a while and while I still want the exhaust (not at that large price tag though) it would still be nice to get some different exhaust clips of the 2 different options.

jmlenz 05-17-2009 05:42 PM

George -

My Z will be here tomorrow and exhaust will be my first mod. I, like others are very interested in the angled muffler option. If we can work something out I would be happy to volunteer my 370 for the install. I could take pics of the install, make some before and after sound clips, and maybe we can even get some dyno figures for the angled version of the 370 up on this thread. I think lotsa people on the forum would appreciate this. PM me. Thanks

I've given Berk credit for using flex couplings, but it was George who first showed up with them on the US aftermarket exhaust.

LiquidZ 05-20-2009 02:00 PM

George/Sam,

I was just wondering if clips of the exhaust will be arriving soon as it appears that your turbo kit is close to completion?

Thanks!

Thanks!

Due to the lack of interest on our exhaust, we have been focusing on the turbo system development/completion along with some other products for the 370Z that you guys might like ;)

The exhaust is still in the works, just not top priority. As soon as videos are available I will post them up!

B1nks 05-22-2009 03:28 PM

..what ? Everyone that has posted on here has been interested but they want sound clips and things that people normally expect from an exhaust manufacturer that has not yet been provided. There is five pages of interest at the LEAST. Ghey.

George,

Will the tips be angled (like the production exhaust) or straight? I prefer angled...

George@GTM 05-22-2009 04:49 PM

I am sorry you feel that way, most exhaust manufacturers don't provide exhaust clips of there exhaust, infact most of the ones you find will be of customers that have posted some.

Also, lack of interest means that the interest level did not meet our expectations, I did not say that no one was interested.

The exhaust is still being produce, the people that truly want it will wait for it and I am sure they will be very happy.

Thank you for your understanding.

Just my humble opinion, but don't be like most, be better than them and provide us a clip! ;)

B1nks 05-23-2009 07:29 PM

I don't mean to come off as bitching or like I don't want the exhaust anymore because I really do want it but I was really hoping for the group buy price, since individual price is way out of my range, and I felt that would have been possible if some exhaust clips were provided. I dunno but I still want one and still give props to GTM !

FricFrac 05-26-2009 05:23 PM

I'm looking for an exaust system as well but it looks like there just isn't really intrest in a group buy. Is ANYONE buying this system or is there no real intrest since its not even available yet?
