OP, the car does work to impress women, but it can't be the initial thing. Don't even mention it. It's all about portraying value. You need to imply value without looking like a tool who brags about having a sports car. Basically you need to act like its not a big deal even though you spend countless hours dedicated to a specific car forum such as this. Once she sees you in it without you mentioning it to her, it will correlate in her head that you are financially stable, even if it's not true. This goes for anything that can be perceived as something, someone might brag about. Simply put, the nice car is only there to add more value to yourself once you have her hooked and reels her in. You don't need a nice car if you have game, but it certainly doesn't hurt.

Hmmm. Consensus would seem to be the car doesn't matter - unless it's a really expensive whip. However, conventional wisdom would indicate that sports cars are phallic symbols and provide the owner an "ego" boost with an associated boost in confidence, etc. Notionally this would make the owner more successful with the ladies.

So, maybe the car does matter - just maybe not in the way one might think.
