He doesnt have the cable. If i take it to that uprev dealer i would get the tune and dyno there. I wouldnt mess with his programming which is why im saying wouldnt that mess his car up.

Did he lose it? It comes with the kit.

He will revert back to stock. That is what you do when you take the kit off. It's an option he has. There is no other option. The car will not run on the SC tune. He will flash a stock map back on the car. Full stop.

Thanks. Yeah he doesnt have the cable he bought the car when it had 20k miles or so and the kit had been installed a few months before. He worked at the dealership where it was traded in. The military guy (owner) told him it had like 5k miles and about a year installed. I guess he forgot to give them the cable. So if he doesnt mess with his tune and just slaps my oem stuff, his car will not run?

If he doesn't have the cable then he will need to take his car to an UpRev tuner and have them revert the car back to the stock map. You will need a 'BacktoStock' file to do that.

Correct. It will be very rich due to larger injectors. Without the ability to reflash the car to stock he's not going to be selling a running car. He needs to buy a cable from Stillen. The two of you need to have a conference call with Stillen to talk this through. They can help more than we can.

Oh it might start and even run, badly. I just highly recommend against even considering driving it with a boosted map loaded on it. Having timing and pulse durations intended for the SC on a stock car is likely to make for some serious issues.

Ok guys one serious question he wants to know exactly what oem stuff is removed... that way he can buy the parts and just sell the kit seperate. Im guessing injectors, manifold, intakes? What else? Pullies? Hoses?

Dude, all of your questions would be answered 100% correctly if you would put down the keyboard and pick up the phone.

If he has all this money to buy the stock parts, why doesn't he give that to the bank instead of the car.

Haha im not sure i guess hed use a credit card. What oem parts would he need? Stillen directed me to the nearest uprev and those dudes didnt help just said to take it in.

Stillen directed you to Uprev when you asked about what OEM parts get replaced?

I can probably take a pretty good guess:

- OEM intake manifold
- OEM spark plugs
- OEM injectors
- OEM Intake Tubes
- OEM Air Boxes with air filters
- OEM Serpentine Belt
- OEM Fuel Pump at minimum, maybe the entire canister depending on the modifications required
- Misc assortment of gaskets, nuts, bolts, etc.

The above assumes he still has the OEM headers.

If he is going to start purchasing OEM stuff I've got a set of OEM injectors I'd be willing to ship if he'll PayPal me the money.

btimola 12-11-2014 05:20 PM

How much for the injectors

niko86 12-14-2014 03:44 AM

Just download the instruction manual from Stillens website
it shows very clearly which OEM parts you will need
