Does anyone have a 6262!?

Hey guys,

like the title states I'm looking for someone who has a PTE 6262 I would like some measurements off of it to decide my direction on turbochargers. If anyone can help me out that would be awesome!:ughdance:

If you call Precision I am sure they would have a spec sheet of the size of the turbo.

Do you think the spec sheet would show me the OD of the compressor housing? Usually they show you the inlet and outlet dia for the turbine and compressor and dementions for the oil inlet/outlet. I will call and see but I'm not feeling very optimistic about it. I tried to get ahold of Sasha figuring of anyone he would have on laying around but I haven't heard back from him

He's on vacation.

Goodluck contacting precision. If they hold on to that as tightly as their compressor curves, you'll never get anywhere.

Good luck. Precision likes to keep data to themselves. Only reason im not a fan. They do make a great product though.

Yeah speaking of that I found it weird that they didn't offer compressor curves, I called asking for them just to see what I was playing with on my car. Seems a little weird.

As far as outer dimensions, you think they would have that stuff for builds like the one you are thinking about.

Yeah I've noticed. Basically you're shopping for the HP you plan to achieve nothing as far as flow or efficiency. I love Garrett and how well they have their site and turbo information together and organized but I want to draw away from the ball bearing turbos due to wanting something I can rebuild if needed. I hope they can provide the info I need otherwise I'm really not sure whom I could contact that would.

Thanks for the little tip btw jwick! Hopefully he sees I messaged him when he returns

Alright so I got a couple of updates from PTE on this for anyone interested I suppose. The 55-66 series compressor housings are all the same compressor housing machined to fit the appropriate wheel. The guy on the Phone (John I believe was his name) instructed me that the "SP" housing (4" in machined anti surge 2.5" out) has an overall housing height of 8.5".
The "E" housing (3" in 2" out) has an overall housing height of 7.5".
The information of the covers being the same across the board is the key information for me as it is my confirmation that I can go ahead and run twin 62s in place of my old disco potatoes.

This link is to some research I found that Sasha was doing that confirms the 5557 to be the same size as the GT2860RS. I think the guy with PTE was basically telling me 0 deg clocked position overall height of 7.5" which I was only concerned with the diameter of the cone.
Anyways for those of you looking for a little more affordable,(in most cases more efficient) directly bolt on, replacement for your Garrett turbos; Precision turbos are out there!

you weren't able to pry a compressor curve out of them were you?
