Missing Pulley?

Hey everyone.

After discovering the epic belt slip that is happening on the car i was doing some searching for bits and bobs and came across this picture:

http://vortechsuperchargers.files.wo...harger_002.jpg

if you look closely between the supercharger pulley and idler to the left there is a small idler wheel in the middle which would create a bigger contact area on the supercharger pulley reducing belt slip.

Does anyone have this idler wheel in their kit? Does anyone know what the wheel part number is or what car it comes from?

I saw the threaded hole yesterday and thought nothing of it until i found this image. If I can get hold of the idler wheel i will be fitting it.

Going to have to call Stillen on that one...

The only place I've ever seen that extra pulley is on Stillen's car. I have not seen it on any production kits.

Im going to ask them for one as it should be in the kit as standard or come as part of the 9lb pulley upgrade.

The contact patch for the belt is already small with the standard pulley and when you drop to the 9lb the contact patch lessens again. With that pulley installed it would allow for a much greater contact area thus reducing slip.

If i cant get one I'll machine one and press in a bearing and make a stand off.

i would assume the belt length would need to increase slightly, no?

True I didn't have that smaller pulley on mine either.

I just had my kit installed last month, I dont have it either nor do I have a hole there

Update: I have one of these small 2 inch pulleys arriving from Stillen here in Scotland tomorrow. I will let you know how it goes.

Subd! I would love to add this to mine as well wondering if this is like a version two kit? I know stillen fixed their new kits to come with a plug and play maf sensor extension kit. Maybe this little guy is on the new kits?

I have one of the newer kits with the plug and play MAF extensions and it didnt come with it.

When I spoke to them they said they didn't put this pulley in the kits as they felt it wasnt needed. I can agree with that if you are running the standard pulley, but, if you order a 9lb pulley from them this should come as part of the kit in order to aid the contact patch area.

What plug and play MAF extenders, NICE! They should think about that for the TB's also. I had 5 breaks in the lines that the deal ( HACKED) together. One of my TB's was not working all the time :/ Was part of my BOOM problem!

I just had my kit installed on the 13 June, 9lb pulley, with the MAF extension, and v3 compressor. Mine did not come with the second pulley and there is no hole drilled there for a pulley.

I swear. This pulley and the belt slip is the bane of my existence.

I can't find a belt long enough that will fit now. I measured it again and I need at least a 2724mm long belt.

Does anyone know of any 7pk2724 belts? Realistically a 7pk2735 belt would be best.

Have you contacted Stilen I find it odd you orderd a different pulley from then and didn't offer the belt that goes with it since their running on their car ( I think that's the pic you showed)
But again it's Stillen lol

Has anyone heard anymore on this? I have the worst belt slippage on the planet. I have to spray sticky belt dressing on it every few weeks if i want to hit full boost
