Holy crap. I thought this was going to be one of those situations where someone was confusing back-off burble (gargle) with true backfiring.
I was wrong. Very very wrong. |
Had no clue uprev could do that
|
Wow!! I want that on my future setup:yum:
|
I had no clue as well until my tuner said that there is this option called uprev 2 step back fire, and it's a separate map all together
|
i want...
|
Amazing, quick question with your setup are you 7AT or MT??
|
I'm a 7 at with a gtm stage 4 tranny upgrade

Nice, might as well as replace one of the 3 maps with this. But it can't be good to do that often.
|
so this is not the same map = valet
valet map stops at 3k also |

ok someone find me a tuner around here who can do this lol
|
Seb? :)
|
they can adjust it but would the effects be the same your bouncing off the rev limiter i.e fuel being dumped into you exhuast and spitting flames out the back
because with a true 2 step your not changing maps just want to make sure i under stand this correctly because it sounds like the valet map being used to do this i will test it with my car when i get a chance im set for 3k |
i have my own uprev kit i wonder if i'm capable of putting a valet map on mine to do this....hmmmm lol

Valet mode plus retarded timing plus a **** ton of fuel
Sent from my HTCONE using Tapatalk |
i will ask my tuner for exact details and dangers if any and how the process is done of course im not planning to do this on a regular bases but initially asked my tuner and he told me not much danger i just have to let the car cool down for about 20secs as the headers get over heated if not

It's still probably not great for the engine or sensors and definitely not for whatever muffler you have -- rich mix, high heat, massive carbon deposits, big pressure wave moving against the flow... |
