Throttle body nitrous kit

so i found this for the R35 GTR and was wondering if it would work for the 370z?

GT-R R35 NITROUS PLATE SYSTEM (35-300HP)

i think the GTR and 370z share the same throttle bodies but im not 100% sure

any help is appreciated

Your better off with Dynotune nitrous kit man its 499.99 out the door plus shipping  but it depends on preference from other nitrous brand

How much in extras and crap do you have to buy?
And how much extra labor on the install

RICAN 03-07-2014 02:33 AM

i don't know bout this one... but i know dynotune doesn't come with window switch/wide open throttle switch....so you have to buy one and you will need a wide band also and a purge kit!!....that's as basic as you can go!!...or i would go!!......zex kits are pretty good also...but you would need to add a window switch, wide band and purge kit!!......also as basic as i would go on the zex kit!!!..plus zex regulates your fuel depending on how pressure your nitrous has!!....so you never to lean or rich!!..

not much, just a bottle warmer, remote bottle opener, purge kit, window switch, TPS switch, bottle pressure gauge and n2o to fill the bottle(give or take $800)

install is easy enough to DIY, shouldnt take more than a day tbh

price difference between this kit and the zex 350z HR kit is about $500

why would i need a wideband? the 370z has one stock that i can pull reading from straight off the ECU

but i did forget about the built in controller the Zex kit has with their HR kit

i wonder if i could use these plates and the zex kit to create a throttle body zex kit, do you know if the Zex kit is 100% bolt on from the HR 350z to the 370z?

im liking the price and the kit

thanks for the suggestion :)

Why does Zex recommend 6-8 inches away from throttle body and these are directly on the throttle. anyone?

its the type of nitrous kit, Zex is using intake foggers, this nitrous express kit uses throttle body plates to spray the nitrous into the intake manifold, than you also have direct port nitrous which is foggers installed directly into the intake manifold spraying down directly into your valves(this isnt possible on our stock manifold, we would need an all metal manifold like the kinetix prototype intake manifold)

i know the Z has a wide band factory ..but i wont always have a laptop in my car to data log..so i wouldn't mind have a wideband gauge just to make me feel better...

i don't see why couldn't you use the plate with the zex kit!!....all it does is eliminate the nozzles for the plates!!

im almost positive is 100% compatible with the 370z....i pm Joe from z speed asking him the same question but he never answer me!!

ah, see i can pull everything up on my phone using torque whenever i need to lol but i understand what you're saying(i just think gauges are a little old school)

im going to have to look more into this cause if i cant do direct port nitrous(without swapping to a different intake manifold at least), i think throttle body injection would be the next best thing

RICAN 03-07-2014 03:16 PM

keep us posted man!!!....i think il be buying the zex kit in a few months!!....

i definitely will be, but so far i called nitrous express and they told me they dont sell the GTR throttle plates separate so i think i might just go with the Zex kit or the dynotune kit

its going to be whichever is cheaper at this point, both kits are proven kits

im pretty excited though

RyanWest 03-08-2014 02:02 AM

so is it safe to say running a 75 shot on these plates are ok?

i love the price on the dynotune but some local people in the corvette scene they told me they had bad experience with the solenoids going bad...i don't know what exactly happen to them do!!...and i do like the fact that zex regulates the fuel to your nitrous pressure!!

i don't see why wouldn't it be..as long as you be on the stock tune you be fine!!..but if you have a tune they might have mess with your timing and it might be dangerous if is to advance..but like luigi said the don't sell them separate!!

I plan on running a 100shot Wet no tune. Anything higher than a 100shot I believe you need a tune but even then you might not need it, I know some 350z guys spraying a 150shot wet on stock tune and they have well over 200 passes on their setup.

Yes it is. Under the plastic plenum is a metal manifold. You can tap it and put direct nitrous there. Its right before the intake valves.

but where will you run the lines?

there isnt much room tapping into the manifold like that

In the valley (between the heads) there's plenty of room. The first link shows how they tapped it in for methanol but you can just copy the same idea with the proper lines for nitrous.

It'll be tight but still plenty of room IMO

thats going to be a really tight fit but thanks for the info, i will probably be doing Direct port nitrous assuming it fits

gonna find some nitrous solenoids i can use to test fit stuff

100 shot and no tune??? Dude what rpm are you going to shift like 6k??? I ask because as much as I resesrch ppl have suggested to tune if going 100shot+ due to timing...??? Btw I alrwady have one step colder plugs and they Rock on NA!

100shot wet should be fine with one step colder plugs

75shot wet should be fine 100% stock everything

from what i researched on my350z

there is someone with an HR 350z running a 160shot with only 2 degrees of timing retard using nissan consult and one step colder plugs, id have to find it but its on my350z

i wont be just starting with a 100shot though, imma work my way up starting with a 50shot and work my way up, logging what the car is doing and ill stop where its safe

Alright my friend thx for the input and yea those 350z dude are insane from reading their threads but heck I can't wait to start and I'm doing the same with a 75 shot though then building it up to a 100 shot

anyway to convert fogger kit into throttle body style and have a custom plate made?

ya it is insane what they are running, if you get yours done before mine id love to read a build thread or something
right now im trying to gather as much info as i can about installing a nitrous kit myself on this car

i could do that but since there is a possibility i could do direct port nitrous, im going to look into that first, if i cant i will probably do just in take foggers instead of custom throttlebody foggers

gussyturbo z 03-29-2014 11:47 AM

Can you run that dyno tune kit with the stillen sc system? Anybody?
