I haven't seen anyone running more than 75 yet. I have 100hp pills sitting in my car (not installed) but I need to get tuning software before I take that trip.

If anyone can guess what shot I'm spraying I'll give you an internet fist bump. It's a weird number since I couldn't get exactly what I wanted because they didn't have those sizes in that shot

Lol I'm on a 188 shot. I don't have all the bells and whistles to what most of you guys have. I have a zex bottle warmer, zex wot switch, dyno tune purge kit, dyno tune nitrous pressure gauge... Basically all I have other than the basics

Im interested to know how the car responds on a 188hp shot and if you had to retard the timing or what tuning was used on your setup. Good lord I'm sure it pulls nasty!

How many bottles have you been through if any? Do you have a nitrous cutoff installed? window switch?

Iv sprayed it once just to test how it hits and no I'm not tuned... YET. I still need to finish up some things before i take it in. It hits hard! I do not have a window switch but I'm thinking about getting one. Iv never had a problem in the past but we'll see. I was tossing up doing a progressive controller because I did want to spray off the line with DR's but thst the whole point in doing a huge shot lol I don't want to spray off the line with a lesser of a shot but then again we'll see

Whoa whoa whoa!???? Your saying your doing a 188hp shot?? HIGHEST IVE SEEN is a 150 shot and that's on a 350Z (with a tune) how is it possible you did a 188hp shot without even pulling some timing ESPECIALLY on our Block with 11:1 compression and NO TUNE...Call me Skeptical but I say your full of it I'm only on a 50hp wet shot (34N & 18F) and I dare not go any higher without having uprev...

It's not like I spray it every day lol. Iv tested it once to see how it hit. The car used to be on a 75 shot no tune or plugs. Now I have HKS plugs and I'm awaiting a few more things before I can get tuned. My jets are like a 28 and 40 something I can't remember off the top of my head. If you choose to not believe me then that's on you. You can call up Sebastian at specialty z and ask if he's talked to someone that wants to spray a 180 shot and see what he tells you. A 50 shot is pointless IMO. That's only like high 30s low 40s whp. This is a beefier motor than the 350. I'll be fine on a race gas tune

It should be low 11s. I'm changing out the rear brakes to stock 350z ones so I can fit a 15 inch wheel on there. Iv talked to phunk and he was doing the same thing to his Z for traction. 15s just offer so much more sizes than a 16 does

With that shot size I am guessing you will need SOME type of controller if you want to spray first gear and not just spin until your tires burn off. I am curious to hear how it hooks (if at all). Keep us updated please :tup:

Should easily break 11s stateside with as good as the tracks are prepped there..


Downgrading brakes is something that I have comtemplated to run full slicks..

So your 28 and 40 is "your" 188 shot?

I really want to see where your got that chart...

I currently have 150shot jets in my car and it's a lot bigger than those jets you just claimed to be 188... I've never heard of a 188 either....

What brand of system are you running? That will help with figuring out the jet sizes ect. I am just curious about your setup.

I'm not running one specific "kit"
My jets are from NOS. I said I can't remember off the top of my head what the numbers were. I was taking a wild guess. I had a plastic baggy that had the numbers written on them when I went to buy new ones. I originally wanted a 180 shot but the jet sizes didn't equal that amount so the closest was either a 160 something or a 188 which is what I chose.

What solenoid brand are you using? Pic of your engine bay and "NOS" jet sizing. How did you come up with 188? That's my biggest question. Because jet sizing are typically in 25 shot increments. If you dynoed the car, and transferred the jet sizing to WHP, can you please provide a dyno for reference with a baseline and the increase.

Either you are off or I am off on our setup. I have NOS pills rated at 100HP and they are 26F and 46N. I'll dig up my chart and post it for everyone tomorrow.

Also, a 50HP (17F and 30N) was pretty substantial (and REALLY safe) in the quarter mile for me. I was able to take my time from a 13.38 to a 12.66. It's not blow your mind quick but it's a small kick in the pants.

when i had nitrous on my mustang it was 25/50/75/100/125/150 but there was a kit with 30/60/90/100/125/150

but never hear of an odd number

but with my mustang and my probe gt with a
50shot i was adding 40hp/70tq
75shot i added 60hp/100tq
so even if your not feeling the hp you can feel the torque

am kinda a big fan of nitrous so im watching you guys nitrous post

i may be doing a 100shot on my car next year as long as i can run it safely with the turbo

I was an still kinda am I fan of NOS, I had a progressive shot on my 650HP Monte SS,( 250 Shot) Thing was scary, I'm just nervous about running this on the the VQ. I saw a few people fry rings.

I snapped a picture of the F/N chart from Zex. Take it with a small grain of salt but I did a comparison based off the weight of my car (3450lbs) and ET (13.38w/o and 12.66 w spray) and came up with approximately 50HP gained when using pills 17F and 30N. One can assume that the other pill sizes would put you in the ball park of what they have shown.

Good luck man, I hope this works out for you. The past week I have been thinking about my car and the unfinished work with the gtr manifold and possibly doing direct port but now I am pretty much over it. So I will be putting my parts up for sale if you need anything. I have a new in the box sealed nano system if you want to stray away from bottle heaters.

This is apparently measured at flywheel the "75 shot" nets me 63hp calculated using torque

Well then.... It appears my "50HP" is 75HP and my "75HP", which is currently installed, is 100HP!

I guess that would account for my drag times being so good and also why I can not hook up with the alleged "75HP". At least the car sounded REALLY good when running the 100 shot. There were no sounds of detonation but I don't like working off of guess work. I'll need to do a N20 run and pull my plugs and get my AFR gauge in.

I've also had good response from zex customer service, also I know that what the chart says but the the setup zex sends you for a 100 isnt on that chart

I'd be interested in what they say about the pill sizes. I originally was under the impression my kit came with 50 and 75.

So, i'm confused about one thing. After tuning do you stay driving around on your uprev map tuned for nitrous or do you have to use one for daily and one for nitrous. Is that what the window switch handles only activating nitrous between certain rpms and throttle position? Just wanna make sure i'm undetstanding. Thanks
