Allow me to introduce myself, Im Julian of the former MRC Motorsports in NJ. I closed down shop back in 2008 due to a plethora of small things all coming together at once and Sam and a certain moderator on My350Z contributed massively to my downfall as a business. There is probably no one on this forum that loathes Sam and GTM more than I after the public bashing I have wrongfully endured at his hands. I was conspired against by him and Romey who was a good friend of mine and destroyed his own motor due to his own ignorance, but that's a separate story for a different day.

I have heard that GTM may or may not be on the verge of bankruptcy, I can not confirm this nor can anyone provide any cold hard facts. However if he did accept your money and is on the verge of bankruptcy as I have heard and knew he was filing for Chapter 11 and STILL accepted your order and took your money with little to no intention of delivering goods, then you have a clear cut criminal case against him for fraud.

At this point GTM seems like a big PONZIE scheme where he takes from Peter to pay Paul, and is on the verge of collapsing. I called this many years ago that the tide would turn. I also noticed how Sam never ever accepts responsibility and like to shift blame and smear other shops. This was evident on one Forged Performance thread I read where he played the customer against Sharif. Sam has a less than ethical character about him and knows zero loyalty accept to himself, he would talk smack about everyone behind their back back in the day..

Sam did it to me back in the day, where he shifted blame on his crappy motors to me, when 4 out of 5 of his motors we ordered from him failed miserably. 100% of the ones we built locally or in house were problem free, and some are still on the road today.

Sam's issue is GREED. He wants to have his hands in everything and wants to control every part of the industry from soup to nuts. He doesnt want the customer going anywhere but his shop to spend their money and will do what he has to do at all costs to smear other places and preach the you NEED to use GTM cause they are the inventors of all things great!

You need cams? "No dont use Jim wolf or Crower, those things are garbage, use our stage III GTM custom magic cam" which is an exact knock off of a Crower or JWT that he sends to a factory across the border and has cast out of cheap Mexican cast metal...Same goes for his TT manifolds from back in the day, a copy of the APS, cast in Mexico.

When you get your hands too deep in the mix, you spread yourself thin and lose the quality control and pride that built you up to that point. There is such a thing as becoming "TOO BIG"..This is a perfect example..

GTM will go bankrupt, people will be out money, creditors will be screwed, customers will be screwed, and they will simply re open under a different name at a different location and pull the same old revolving door. The system is in place to reward people like Sam, and punish guys like me who ran a 100% honest place of business and never screwed over anyone. I was ran out of town with pitchforks and torches, by the GTM nutswingers, one of them was a good friend of mine who turned on me after he screwed up his own motor and Sam used as a pawn to manipulate the masses against me. Eventually Sam didnt deliver the promise land to that guy either and screwed him the best of my knowledge...

I wish all the participants of this group buy good luck getting your refund, I would file criminal fraud charges if he never delivers and does go bankrupt. But Karma is a biatch people, you do reap what you sow!!!

Just an FYI, you could probably pay a decent fabricator less money to make you a one off TT kit for your car..

Very good information. Will PM you soon

Charles?!?!?!? Whats up man!!! How you been doing? I can tell you one thing, I have been STRESS FREE since I left the business and stopped dealing with the trolls on the forums. I hope a lot of people realized afterwards that I was conspired against by Romey and Sam in the end and we legitimately had like 2 disgruntled customers over the course of my entire episode. One was Romey ( a super mod) and another was some kid who tried to sue me cause we caused 2 small door dings and we lost a part of his Nismo exhaust after leaving it at my shop for 6 months.

I honestly HATED the industry after a few short years, and have since got rid of my Z and everything to remind me of the past. DO I miss it? Yeah, the early days I do..Everything was awesome when I loved the game. After all the bull crap and drama, it takes the passion out of it..

I still tune cars once and a while for a buddy who literally begged me to get back into tuning, but its few and far in between..

I now play with my 67 Camaro and am a family man who now actually gets to spend time with his family, not like before. Hell I missed my sons first steps cause I was at HKS training for the Fcon at the time..The business took up ALL of my free time and didnt make me rich.. If I was gonna do it over again I would have picked general automotive repair, more money less headaches.

Im glad to see Karma coming back around to Sam@GTM. :happydance::happydance:

But it saddens me to see so many people that had to loose money to learn the truth.

BTW its good to see one of the OG's like you is still around!

I am certainly content with my choice to pull from this group buy and go with another kit. It was totally worth the $475 "restocking fee" that I was charged to not have to deal with this fiasco. The funny thing is, its been 6 months since I withdrew and there still arent any kits to "restock" lol.

How is this thread still alive?

Dzel 05-21-2014 02:07 PM

It's fueled by the lies fed to GTM's customers

god damn I'm glad I got my money back. I think I got out right at the last minute. Seriously, good luck to anyone still dealing with it, I really hope you get your money back and get everything sorted out. Btw if you do get your money back, I highly recommend boosted performance, it is an amazing kit, and couldn't be happier. (not to mention the customer service is outstanding!)

GTM is dead, but I hear MTG, also in the LA area, is coming out with exactly the same kit. Pre-order going up soon.
