Boosted Performance 01-12-2014 10:44 AM

You will have issues down the road again as long as you have that STS oil return pump. You should upgrade it to this one:

Exa-Pump®

Also, I am not sure why/how they have the pressure switch, but it is not needed at all. At least I don't see the purpose for it. There are other much better/fail proof ways to set up a remote turbo oiling system than what you currently have.

Word...I kinda wish I would have went a different route now...Ive read up on the boosted performance build and the SR performance builds and honestly id rather have either one of them. The STS kit is wayyyy too loud. If I have any other issues from this kit im gonna try to get rid of it and go with something different.

Now as far as your problems with no boost. Well that could be several things due to the massive amounts of piping that system uses.

1. When was the last time you changed the oil. The piping around the filter is very tight and you have to remove the piping to get the filter off. I have personally had issues with it not getting put back together properly and blowing the two apart.

2. Check the connections to intercooler on both sides. The connection points are hidden and do like to come apart as well.

3. Check your piping seals under the car. I had mine replaced with proper V-clamps and it solved all my boost leak problems. The clamps they provide are garbage.

4. With this system you really have to check you oil/change it often. Due to the fact it has to travel so far and you are leaving a ton of old oil in the system constantly. If you go to long you will "pop" the timing solenoid and the car will sputter and sound like it's going sound, well just horrible. The car will not run worth a crap (you will be lucky if you get over 25mph). Also shoots out white smoke.

5. Very important as well. Check your filter. With it being exposed, it will get dirty quick. I actually almost imploded mine due to it being dirty.

I hope these suggest help. I have a ton of experience with this system an just about every problem you could possible have with this system. From it burning up cats to boost leaks. Honestly their hose clamps and boots suck.

If you seriously have this thing sitting in a box collecting rust, u wanna ship that box my way?????

Hell. I forgot. I have one that's not being used as well. It should still work. I think..

Glad to hear your problems have been fixed.

I've said it before and I'll say it again the sts oiling system sucks ****. I had to deal with this on a guys 350 and the only thing that truely fixed it was a 5/8 drain into an upgraded scavange pump relocated to the back of the car (because those pumps push not pull) with a .035 restrictor in the feed line because the z routinely goes over 80psi oil pressure, and 1/2 return line from pump to engine. the line sizes are all ID and you can use a 5/8 from pump to engine too but half inch will do.

Also check your air pipes and intercooler chances are they are full of oil too. if so clean your mafs
