370z nismo vs modded z06 Roll race on a closed highway (for racing)
 

Hi guys just wanted to share this race that took place on a legal highway made for roll racing in my country :tiphat:, The 2012 nismo has a stock block running a greddy tt, toyo 888 and all the goodies tuned on ms103 and 100% methanol boosting 15psi approx, I know that's crazy but couldn't afford to lose against this vette so we had to do what we had to do :bowrofl: The new z06 has milled heads,cams and bolts, One race the z06 was given a jump and the second one it was an exact roll race the nismo was pissing off the vette by leaving the throttle and hitting it again over and over again at the end.

This video was originally removed due to forum rules violation as we are VERY strict at following our anti street racing video rule. However, it has been brought to my attention that this video was shot in another country on a closed highway. They close certain areas of highway to do this kind of racing (periodically or specific dates). No other cars were on the road at the time. I re-opened the thread.

Meh, you sure that is a C6 Z06, or is it a C5?

Looking at the shot where he pans over the rear view, you can see the rear quarter of the C6. :P Then again, could be C6 base...

it is a c6 z06, soon ill post more intersting vids in this thread , we already passed a 2013 shelby with bolts and zl1 with bolts and some other stuff, but again we are on extremly high boost and race fuel on a stock block :stirthepot:

iirc Nismo370's TT 370z destroyed a bolt on M6 making 510whp and he was running low boost on a stock motor with GTM's stage 1 kit

Stock block, high boost, race fuel? I wonder how long that engine with last? How much power is the Z06 making? And its cam, as in singular. LS7 is a pushrod engine... only one cam :tiphat:

Well usually its on low boost 9-10psi , Only when using race fuel we go to higher boost levels, And my guess since races are weekly only it will last for sometime at that boost level.

Atleast we could see how strong these blocks are at 14-15psi hahahaha:tiphat:

-Miles since kit installed
-Other upgrades (clutch/flywheel/engine/etc.), also include miles when these upgrades were completed with done after original FI install

DAMN! Stock block w/ all that! Meth/Race fuel/high boost...any dyno numbers? I'm interested to see the torque numbers ....I thought I was pushing the stock block to the limits lol

I would think that at that level, it would take one detonation or misfire, and the rods wouldn't like all that opposite force. :D

But, on a safe tune with lots of meth and race fuel, it's possible I suppose.

Isn't meth lower octane than race fuel? I haven't really seen them used together.

I believe it's a tad lower than high octane race fuels, but the benefit of cooling the intake charge so much outweighs the small loss in octane.

Anecdote: My friend has a Mazdaspeed3 with a trunk meth setup, and under full boost and load, his intake temps, measured at the manifold, are around 70-75 degrees F. And this is in South Florida during the past summer.

Hi guys this is the dyno chart i have which was tuned on 100 octane pump gas and meth, both on low and high boost, I dont have the actual dyno chart for the setup as is because When it came here since we don't have 100octane pump gas in the station, We are running MS103 for high boost and meth and 93 and meth for low boost, We only had to do small adjustment to the tune. its making some where in the 500 to 550 on low boost (10-12psi) and 600-650 on high boost ( 13-15psi).

Nice numbers - not sure how long the stock block will handle it as you know.

I used to run big boost on my last car - and ran Methanol on a race tune for a while.

For us - we found that 50/50 water meth actually brought the IATs down better than straight meth and then no fire hazard. Something to think about if you're going to keep pushing the meth.

Had my meth set up in the trunk - where do you have yours rigged?

damn thats a sick Nismo and set up... i feel like there arent many people running the greddy kits here, or atleast dont have the build threads like the other brands do.

Greddy kits r very expensive compared to others.

I have the tank in the trunk, 50% meth is for sure safer but on a stock block running sometimes high boost you cant risk a small missfire or knock so you have to accept the danger of pure meth, So i run 100% and its doing fine till now of course i dont run high boost all the time because its tuned on 100% meth and ms109 fuel, its usually on 11 to 12psi on 93 pump and 100%meth, I am sure its not going to last but so far the stock block is strong as hell .

The last vid is a 40th anniv 370z not the nismo in the first couple of vids i posted, The 40th anniv 370z is equipped with gtm stage 1 on 10psi no meth or anything pushing 480whp on a mustang dyno which is 500+on a dyno jet, a c6 is easy to kill with this set up no need for the white nismo which pushes approx 550 to 600whp :tiphat:

This is the Go pro angle from the vette (pushing approx 430whp on a mustang dyno) against the 40th anniv 370z with a gtm stage 1 kit (470whp to 480whp on a mustang dyno), Runs are from 100km and 70km, The cars in the middle are cars with professional drivers and video shooters who are recording the race in the mid section and the end.

470 whp to 600whp will make any Z owner more proud even is more than enough on the streets , I am sure i am not the strongest but it does the job just fine for a daily driver :tiphat:

Those videos really put it into perspective what 450 - 600hp will do for the Z.

Yes Sir,
Many performance cars such as AMG's, GTR's, and Camaro's are large and bulky. At least 450 whp on a lightweight Z can do wonders and really shine when put up against higher horsepower heavyweights. The Corvettes and GT500's on the other hand are a force to be reckoned with. 500whp and some E85, methanol, or race gas can really help in these situations.

On the white nismo with agreddy kit it shines up with ms103
and 100% meth on a stock block with 13 to 14psi its shocking what it can do, Specially with toyo r888's otherwise your :owned: hehehehehhe

After reading this I feel better about my SC NOS build shooting for 525 on the sc and 600 on the bottle
