TT options

Ok guys and gals the time has come to start looking at my options for a TT setup. Im lookin to do a low boost setup on stock internals for the time being.

My main two that im considering at the moment are either
-greddy TT kit
-fast intentions TT kit

Any input on personal experiences with either setup will be greatly appreciated as well as any other TT setups that may be a better investment.

Thanks in advance

From your own post I have gathered your not ready for TT or any modding. Take some time to search and research this forum.

SS_Firehawk 10-11-2013 09:37 PM

Man, your looking to get trolled with that post. Like Spohn said, read up on ALL boost options before asking something so open ended. It also doesn't help your plight with two post counts, we don't know you or what you know. Welcome to the forum and enjoy reading the boost section. I went twins my self... Superchargers that is :D

Cell 10-11-2013 09:41 PM

Boosted performance twin scroll turbo.

I would ask folks to point him in a direction for the simple reason that at least He's paid to be a Premium and is NOT just another base Member.

Thanks

Op,

Welcome, And like some have already suggested try search the FI section to better grasp what you want as Power gains as this plays what setup will work for you.

Primarily We have for the most part GTM and Boosted performance, And FI as of recent providing FI setups.

Can't help more than that since I have not gone in that direction.

Thank You for your support as a Prem Member

Check out the options. FI's setup looks really nice. GTM has many satisfied customers to read about with impressive results.

I learned a lot when I went TT on my G.
There are many, many hours of reading to see on this forum.
Remember, this is a SERIOUS commitment of time... And patience. Not to mention money.
Your car will be a "project car" from the momen you begin until you don't own it anymore once you boost it.

Good luck

Look into gtm and fast intentions and go for the one you personally prefer.
2 very good threads in the forced induction forum to help make your decision.

G37sHKS 10-12-2013 05:16 AM

Regardless of TT kit that you chose to go with, you need a lot more accessories to complete the kit

But to answer your real question, I would go with fast intentions turbo kit with eyes closed.

theDreamer 10-12-2013 09:12 AM

Very broad question.

-Greddy is not used much on here, they are an option but most go with GTM, BP, and soon F.I.
-Go to the main forced induction section and read the stickies
-Then go to the vendor threads and research each kit and differences, prices, etc
-Finally, build a budget and start making a list of things you need such as: Kit, oil cooler, optional boost kit upgrades, brakes, clutch, radiator, and more

Welcome to the forum! Thank you for considering us as an option. We know that you have many choices when making this decision and it is not a decision to be made lightly. We are real close to fully launching our kit. It is in the final stages of the first production run for the first 25 kits.

Thank you, Tony :tiphat:

If money is nothing to you then go with fast intentions.

If you are looking to save money, either get the MHI kit from GTM or go with BP single turbo kit.

GTM is offering a free upgrade to GTX turbos right now. You just need to do a bit of research.

EDIT: What SPOHN said.

SPOHN 10-12-2013 11:25 AM

Money shouldn't matter. You can only do so much on a stock block.

And GTM is only upgrading to the GT's not the GTX series.

First off Welcome OP, Second like most members have said SUPPORTING MODS is Key to what kind of Numbers your trying to hit. I know you said you just want to hit Low Boost but How Much is "Low Boost" because as far as what ive read theres never Enough Boost hahaha, also whats your goal in WHP & Torque? Maybe you should start there to get an understanding of what mods is needed for those numbers? Gl with your Buils and welcone once again! :)

roplusbee 10-13-2013 01:40 AM

Honestly...............if money or pricing is an issue, this may not be the undertaking for you. When people get tight around the budget, things start to fail shortly afterward. Just food for thought.

I somewhat agree with what other have suggested. GTM or Fast Intentions. I have the Greddy Kit..................good luck with your decision!

TerribleONE 10-15-2013 04:05 PM

+1 for Fast Intentions.. Best kit out there IMHO...

SPOHN 10-15-2013 07:01 PM

^ why's that? Cause it's on your car?

You sure love stirring the pot. Sure I may be slightly biased however in my honest opinion it is the best kit from a engineering stand point as well as the quality of the parts. Dyno graphs seemed to prove that.. I have yet to see another kit pump out the same power levels in the lower RPM range. Not trying to hate on other kits at all, I think its a great thing to have options. Totally speaking my opinion

Just yanking your chain.

faceglide 10-15-2013 07:57 PM

Best of the best- Fast Intentions , the kit is superb, the F.I. team is even better. I cant tell you how pleased I have been working with them.

Best Value(pot stirred)- Boosted Performance. Save a TON on install(a very very reputable shop is quoting about $800 for install without any electronics) work OR do it yourself! If you can replace cats, you can install this kit NO PROBLEM. Sasha is also a great guy and can get things just how you want them.

This is MY opinion and mine alone. Don't be mad.

Isn't the only twin turbo kit you can actually get right now the GTM Garrett kit? All the other twin kits are still unavailable to the public, right?

So I guess it should be an easy decision if you're planning a build in 2013 then. ;)

Thank you, and yes, the twin scroll kit is a fraction of the price when it comes to install cost. Something a lot of people overlook. Maintenance is also very easy as every major component is easy to get to.

If the OP is set on a twin turbo kit, then you can't go wrong with F.I.

You are correct there are not many out there are more than 2 though. There was even a built motor Greddy TT that made 636whp in a G37.

luigi90210 10-16-2013 08:55 PM

after spending hours(using that lightly, its more along the lines of months, but who is counting lol) of research for a twin turbo kit for my own car, i came to the conclusion that the best bang for buck kit would be the GTM stage 1 tt kit(for my power goals at least)

i suggest start working on supporting mods before you install a TT kit, and definitely find a good tuner to custom tune the car

good luck though :)

1slow370 10-16-2013 10:49 PM

Also don't forget if you buy the greddy kit you probably need to purchase tune and fuel system seperatly, as it's not turn key.
