I think that anything over 550 is not attainable with the current vvel setup we have if I'm not mistaken. More than 550 and the vvel computer will not be able to keep up....

Mr Squeeze is still running VVEL heads and he's well into the 600s if I'm not mistaken.

I appreciate the info and original kit dyno sheet... Im not sure exactly how the air flow changes with the bump to a 1.15 (i understand that it does change and why it changes), but what does that change correlate to. Just more uptop power, more power across the board, slower spool time, more total power potential but the need for more psi to reach the same power lower in the band, etc?

500-550 is really my starting goal, which is perfect in this kit but would love to down the road build the engine a year or so later and push towards 650+ if possible. How much of a potential difference is there with the upgraded 67mm turbo. Thats the largest that fits the kit i recal reading somewhere correct?

The 1.15 a/r turbine housing will reduce back pressure, allowing more fresh air in to the combustion chamber...translating in to more power. The spool up won't really change to be honest.

The 67mm turbo (which you can purchase with the kit for $200 extra) will get you well in to the 600's. I have customer with the 6266 on a VQ35DE in the mid 600's on pump gas. That is the smaller turbo, and smaller turbine. Supra guys have made over 800whp with the 6766 turbo, so it will make a lot of power.

The nice thing about this kit is that you can get the 67mm turbo upgrade for $200 now, go with the 1.15 a/r turbine housing and then when you build the engine it is only another $250 to upgrade the turbine housing...allowing you to max out the system.

wheee! 11-27-2013 04:02 PM

Interesting... Ecutek or Uprev? I'll have to see his build.

I know more hp is possible, but I wasn't sure it was controllable...

Damn that makes for one tempting offer, and some great number potentials.... Fingers crossed for a nice bonus check in a month lol And that i can afford the neccessary guages to go with the kit. (i'll wait till i burn the stock clutch out to get a new one haha)

Sounds good, just let me know if you wish to proceed. I ship within two weeks of receiving the deposit...that alone is something hard to come by these days.

I had a good look at some pictures of a/t 370z's, and there is just no way this turbo would fit in that location. The oil pan is just way too big, and takes up a lot of the space needed for the turbo alone, not to mention the plumbing.

:crying:

If you build it, we will buy it... :p

And there is no other location you could possibly put it? I'm not trying to rearrange your whole kit, but I REALLY want your kit when the time comes and just wish there was some way you could make it work with the 7AT. :(

I know you guys would buy it.

The T4 frame turbo is large, much larger than what the competition offers in a ST kit, and this is the only place I can make it all fit. Here is a side by side picture of the turbine housing that I use with this single kit, and a T25 turbine, commonly used on the TT kits:

http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q...d/IMG_7577.jpg

http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q...d/IMG_7579.jpg

http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q...d/IMG_7573.jpg

http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q...d/IMG_7580.jpg

That is a picture of the 1.0 a/r turbine, the 1.15 a/r is larger than that, and the 1.32 a/r is even larger than the 1.15 a/r.

As you can see, there is a significant size difference, and I am very limited with the location. This is the proper size turbine for this engine when it comes to a single turbo, so anything smaller than that, and the kit max HP potential will only go down.

G37sHKS 11-29-2013 11:27 AM

So there is no way to make a kit for 7AT? :(

At this time, no. If I was to get a donor car that has the A/T, it would be something I would be willing to look in to. The best stelling feature of this kit is the fact that nothing has to be modified on the car to make it fit. It is a true bolt on kit. With the A/T, this may not be the case.

GaleForce 11-29-2013 11:59 AM

I can see the instruction manual for the AT guys...

Step 1. Remove A/T
Step 2. Install 6 MT
Step 3. Install Boosted Perfomance twin scroll turbo kit

:bowrofl:

Isn't it better that way anyway? That way those guys can actually enjoy some of the torque??? :stirthepot:

Yep you would have to redesign the hole kit, might even have to put the turbo in the engine compartment which isn't a preferred method. I will keep dreaming, one day you make a Twin Scroll AT Kit for us...

Yes.

Just wanted to echo what everyone has already said about Sasha. This man knows how to treat his customers. Just a quick example from last night. I was wrenching on the car at around 10pm and had a quick question. Shot him an email and he responded with the answer within a couple minutes. It's so refreshing to get that level of responsiveness from a vendor. Some other companies could really learn a lot from Sasha *cough* GTM *cough*. Communication has been excellent throughout my entire experience. Not to mention, he has a stellar product. If anyone is on the fence about this kit, pull the trigger. You won't regret it. Sasha, keep up the good work my friend

Can vouch for this experience as well.

BlkNismo 12-11-2013 08:42 AM

I can vouch for sasha's excellent customer service and super fast responses via pm or email.

Sasha was able to answer all my questions when I was inquiring on his kit with A+ service.

However, I decided to twins in the end.

Sasha is a great guy to deal with.

Thank you gentlemen. I have always treated my customers (and those just inquiring about the kit) the way I would like to be treated. I think this industry has forgotten about the customer, and is only focusing on getting the money, even if the product is nowhere near ready for the market.

I want one!!!!! hopefully you will have a kit left after the holidays.

Boosted Performance 12-16-2013 09:09 PM

Still have 5 of these kits left. These will ship within two weeks of sending deposit, as I am not waiting for part from overseas...everything is done, and ready to go.

It is a complete turn key kit for under $7,000, which is capable of 650whp right out of the box with a built engine (if you choose to do so) and pump gas.

GaleForce 12-16-2013 11:00 PM

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Best kit for the money, and the best customer service. You can't go wrong with Boosted Performance.

I especially like the " as I am not waiting for part from overseas" comment!

DEpointfive0 12-16-2013 11:18 PM

I'd only consider a BP kit if it came with a lifetime supply of Smarties... LOL

You M.T guys are so lucky.

This is such a nice kit.

I like to see a $4,000 deposit/payment via paypal before parts start to ship. Once I have that amount of deposit in, the following parts ship to customer from my suppliers within the U.S:

Turbo, Wastegates, BOV, spark plugs, UpRev, Fuel injectors and Exa pump.

By the time those items arrive, the rest of the kit (plumbing, FMIC...ect) is ready to go. I provide a final balance owing, which includes shipping. Once that is paid in full, the customer will get a tracking number within 48 hours.

The deposit does not have to be paid in full at once, I am flexible as far as that goes, as everybody has a budget that they are working with. I also don't charge restocking fees, especially for imaginary parts, but I do prefer that if customer does change his/her mind that it happens before parts mentioned above ship out.

Well yeah, but that's because you aren't "a brick and mortar facility with bona fide business hours, phone number, e-mail address and fax number that has been in business for 26 years."

I'm wondering if this current debacle will keep them from having to worry about changing the website to read "27 years" :rofl2:

God, each day I keep waiting, I look at this thread again and again. My heart is changing its mind all the time.

I know this has been discussed before (I think), but is there a benefit to running aftermarket headers with this setup? (Shorty headers, that is.) I know the factory manifolds are well designed, but for maximum efficiency's sake, there could be a benefit, no?
