Ok I will be getting the car back today
But I'm a little pissed

After all was done it made 530 rwhp and I'm being told that I'm being limited by the maf meter wtf?

your pissed about 530whp? You do not want to push the stock block much more than that...

I'm on a fully built block

FireDan50 06-13-2014 01:19 PM

I'm in the same situation being limited by the MAFs....too much air/voltage going to the MAF...need to upgrade MAFs too now.

Nissan370 06-13-2014 02:09 PM

Will after all the money I just spend I'm going to have to live with it til next year
I had some exhaust leaks, did the return system, a full tunefrom the ground up,, bad o2 sensors , a sticking injector and A seal on the blow off gasket
1500 budget went to almost 4k fast. :shakes head: still at work pissed thinking
if I get the car back maybe I will feel better

Sorry to hear you're limited by such small things yet costly things.. I can imagine the frustration. Did you lower compression too? I didn't see you specs on the build. I know Dan is pushing 600+whp on stock block and MAFs.

I need bigger mafs as well, I only made 520whp...and it won't go much higher

Sorry to here that you didn't get them numbers you were looking for because of still being on stock MAF's. Just take your time enjoy the car as is for now and upgrade the MAF's later.

Yeah my compression is 9.1cr and I think Dan did a race gas tune to hit the 600 mark
I was under the impression that a lot more people were hitting 550 or so wwith there turbo kits and stock maf
now that I think about it not sure if vsr turbo kits us 3" or 2.75 intake pipe
and my lower cr maybe hurting me as well

Those seems to be solid numbers for low compression, how much boost did it take? Once you get around to swapping those MAFs you should be golden! Yeah dan is on race gas for the 600 mark. I'm not positive on the i.d. of the intake piping looks less than 3". Yeah obviously needs more boost with the lower cr.

I would be a little pissed too but you get to have fun with 500+hp in the mean time. Nice builds tend to be about the marathon not the sprint.

JWillis72 06-14-2014 12:41 PM

Just curious, what do upgraded MAFs cost?

Nissan370 06-14-2014 12:44 PM

So far looks like it's just 10psi.

Car is running ok since i picked it up Friday . Just the idle is a little high.
I'm going to beat on it a little this weekend and see how she holds up.
and ya your right it's not about the sprint. Guess i need to slow down, stop spending and enjoy the dam thing
well at least I'm set up for my goal maf and Retune

Nissan370 06-14-2014 12:48 PM

Uprev maf gt sensors $350.00 each reads 180% more air flow then stock
$350 × 2
