Come on, the wife keeps calling me to come to bed...

Update,
Happy Holidays to everyone out there. It has been a while since I did a "large update". This is to catch everyone up to speed. For our customers on the list, I was able to reach most of you last Friday afternoon, so you know where we are at. As some of you know, TerribleOne "our prototype" received his car back the day after Thanksgiving. I know that he has been putting some miles on it and we all look forward to his review, when he is ready. Currently we have 3 x 370's in our shop. Nklear, cycy89 and faceglide. On top of that HotRodz car is at SpecialtyZ. Sebastian is doing his install. They are about 20 minutes away from us, so we give each other feedback on a daily basis. We wanted one of our certified installers to install their first production kit at the same time we were doing ours so we could get some constructive criticism on what was easy for him and any tweaks we need to make to the Installation Manual. dirty_ShoeZ kit will be shipping right after the New Year. It was supposed to ship this Friday the 20th however his exhaust manifolds will not be back from Ceramic Coating until Christmas Eve. We were both in agreement that the kit is safer here until the holidays are over opposed to going in transit with UPS. Way too big of a shipping risk with the first kit in the mail during the holidays! Rolling in to January we have some more installs here at the shop. We plan on making some serious headway on cycy89's 7AT car. He dropped the car off originally in August (a little prematurely) but the wait will be worth it. We plan on using his car for our Transmission upgrades. During that same month mfeinst, armbar3 and Arrvaxx will all be arriving. All being shipped from Pennsylvania, Minnesota and Missouri. We thank you all for trusting us with your cars. By months end in to early February we a confident that our next batch of Exhaust Manifolds will be completed and ready for shipment. All of you on the list with kits being shipped already know this. Your patience is so greatly appreciated! Short term, we are expecting to have Nklear and Hotrodz car completed and on the dyno either at weeks end or early next week. You will all be updated with the results and at that time we will launch the "Fast Intentions FINISHED Twin Turbo Kits" thread, or something along those lines. Here are pictures of the progress of Nklear's car... http://i371.photobucket.com/albums/o...ps9f566d93.jpg Above: Right after the stock Clutch/Flywheel assembly was removed. We also just replaced the Pilot Bushing. http://i371.photobucket.com/albums/o...ps6579fabb.jpg Above: SpecialtyZ "Billet Aluminum" rebuildable Flywheel! Weighing in at 13lbs. http://i371.photobucket.com/albums/o...ps1e31be95.jpg Above: What we are doing here is sliding the clutch disk over the input shaft of the transmission. Using a "lapping compound" for lubrication. What this does is take of any burrs or ridges off and create a clean marriage between the two. http://i371.photobucket.com/albums/o...ps2b11b4de.jpg Above: The SpecialtyZ Max 6-Puck Disc. This disk is what we have in the prototype car and is rated up to 675 RWH. A great choice for heavy street use with the occasional track day. http://i371.photobucket.com/albums/o...ps43c21532.jpg Above: The SpecialtyZ Pressure Plate. The height has been shortened to save weight. The entire Clutch Flywheel assembly weighs in at 31lbs. http://i371.photobucket.com/albums/o...pse0e5f687.jpg Above: SpecialtyZ has incorporated a Tilton racing Slave to achieve the proper release, and ensure maximum clutch life. Below: These pictures need no introduction. Enjoy and if you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to pm, email or call me directly. http://i371.photobucket.com/albums/o...psc26b95fb.jpg http://i371.photobucket.com/albums/o...ps0baacdb0.jpg http://i371.photobucket.com/albums/o...psf0cc8209.jpg http://i371.photobucket.com/albums/o...ps6b37c10e.jpg http://i371.photobucket.com/albums/o...ps476867a7.jpg http://i371.photobucket.com/albums/o...ps14e7447f.jpg http://i371.photobucket.com/albums/o...ps0cf2873c.jpg http://i371.photobucket.com/albums/o...ps436db61f.jpg http://i371.photobucket.com/albums/o...pse26a8394.jpg http://i371.photobucket.com/albums/o...ps00dc5554.jpg One last thing...If I have the energy tomorrow, I will post more pictures of the progress. Intercooler tubing, Intercooler and oil related parts. Hopefully sometime Wednesday-Thursday she fires up. Thank you all, Tony |
Awesome!

You guys have no idea what you are in for! Tony, give me a call tomorrow.

This is fantastic! Tony I don't really need updates on the install, I just wanna see a pic of my car once a while all I don't get separation anxiety. Lol
Also who's doing the transmission on my z? |
Great update - Tony, if you get a chance could you give me a timeframe so I can set up shipping? I'd rather not have to pay more by setting it up right before it actually goes on the truck.
|
@Tony,
Great Update  And thanks for the perfect Pic Ivo |

Good to see some vendors updating their build threads and keeping their customers tuned for a change haha
|
No doubt Tony cares and keeps in touch on a regular personal bases.
|
As my dad has always said.
You pay a little more, you get a little better. |

This is so ******* awesome Tony! Love the pictures! MORE MORE MORE! :D :icon18:

Completely agree with everything that is being said in this thread. Did I have setbacks with F.I during my TT build? Yes. But Tony always kept me updated and went out of his way to make it right for me. Hell, ZdayZ alone was enough. Oh, a little video for you guys as well :driving: **somewhere in Mexico**
91 octane, @ just under 8PSI. Granny shiftin... |

Dropped by the shop and nklears car is damn close to being finished! Everything looked extremely clean as always! It is almost dyno time for him, hotrodz, and my car! I cannot wait to drive this thing at 10PSI! It is already a monster!
|
You got to love tunnels...can't wait to share in all that boosted fun.
My wife keeps asking me a couple of times a day, when is your car going to be ready??? She is a hair dresser and wants to make sure she can travel with me to get the car. There are going to be some pissed off customers when she cancels them. LOL |
Blake, at just under 10 psi we are at 545 rwhp on your car. This is pushing it on CA 91 octane fuel. As your tuner, I am comfortable with a 8 psi and 500 whp. It gives us some wiggle room and is safer for the street. Think about the inconsistencies in octane level from station to station and hot weather. If you want to turn the boost up past 10 psi we can run 100 octane fuel\tune. 575 whp is fantastic at just 10 psi on this kit! We can also talk about converting the Z to ethanol. :)

I saw your pm last night. My apologies for the delay, I have been out in the shop finishing up an install. I will get back to you shortly. Thank you, Tony |

I couldn't of said it better myself! I am in complete agreement with you that 500-525 RWH is the cap number given our garbage 91 Octane fuel here in CA. High Compression + 91 Octane = Conservative Boost and Timing levels! On that note, we have a couple of customers back east waiting for our kit that have built engines, upgraded fuel systems and will be on E85. Really looking forward to seeing how the kit can really shine in those higher boost levels. Tony |
Seb: sorry if the info is posted somewhere else. are you using the Ecutek or UpRev on this car?
