Great forum and great feedback on the product. I'd like anyone's opinion on the bare minimum mods that would be required for this kit on a bone stock 2014 7AT model. No high whp targets in mind. Just want to maintain reliability as my daily driver. I drive approximately 7 miles round trip daily in urban traffic.

Assume $15k minimum, more like $20k, and then an additional $5-8k for the I popped my motor fund.

tweZ74 07-29-2015 01:54 PM

Thanks! What does the $20k include? The kit, oil cooler, tranny upgrade, breaks, springs, labor?

Welcome Bob ... You've taken the first step towards Recovery OR Fulfillment

I would probably kick it up at least another 5k as it will cost more to twin turbo an auto due to transmission upgrades. Automatics always cost more!

About everything you just mention but add at least another 5-8k for if and when the motor goes boom. Also the tuning is very important!

Ditto on the importance of the Tune ... anybody gone with EcuTek yet?

Level Ten tranny is roughly $4k ($1500 refundable core charge). labor will vary by shop. but, if the tranny is already out due to other factors, f*ck it and just do it. no idea what FI will offer with regards to tranny builds and pricing.

ps I arranged for a tranny to be built saturday like 10 mins before they closed. they had one in shop ready to go. They built it monday/tuesday and shipped it out today. amazing service.

Didn't realize you were automatic. My number assumed $1,500-2,000 for clutch/flywheel/CSC upgrade so add another $3kish for AT upgrade.

Did I miss it , did you guys post any info on the trany upgrade and the fly wheel ?

Hotrodz 07-30-2015 01:13 PM

No there has been no publishing of prices yet for automatics by FI...we are making assumptions based on the current market place.

What he said. :iagree:

If I had to guess what FI brings to market will be slightly more expensive than alternate options but their quality typically backs up their price:tup:

Fast Intentions will be less than the Bulletproof option because they're just upgrading the flexplate and clutchpacks and not rebuilding the entire tranny. I am expecting somewhere in the 2-3k rnage
