You got the 7 year itch or something? For as long as I've seen you post here you been saying you got a "boost" itch. Time to just give it up.

:ohsnap1:

and :iagree:

Tony, how much power is the transmission rated for?

EZT 01-30-2015 02:23 PM

Tony, what's the total price for a 7At kit come to now, with these transmission upgrades?

-UPDATE,

Yesterday was a huge success at the dyno with cycy89's car. As many of you know, we have had his car for quite some time! The road has been long and the process has been tedious, but well worth the wait. The list of mods for this specific car are listed on the dyno chart below. To touch on the 7AT trans itself... The trans has been upgraded with Excedy Clutch Packs. The flex plate has been replaced with our very own "SFI Approved" Billet Aluminum version. The SFI part comes in very handy for you drag racers! In addition, our Trans Cooler featuring a Setrab core as well. The torque converter in stock trim work just fine and has a stall of about 2200 rpm. The stock valve body in the 7AT already comes beefed up over the previous 5AT and shifts like a dream. If needed we will dip into the art of making our own aftermarket torque converter and valve body upgrade. For now we are going to get some good miles on this puppy under a street load to see what she throws back at us. I can tell you this, the car is insane fast and that's at 7.5 psi. Though this trans is no DCT it has shown us thus far that it can handle every high speed shift that we have thrown at it! We will put the car/trans through our rigorous test in the next few weeks prior to sending her home to Cy. Maybe, just maybe we can get some Driveshaft Shop upgraded axles installed and go get that 10 second pass.

I kinda lost you.
Idk what all this means, I read boost,7AT,Transmission :driving:

umm layman terms ? :D:D:D
someone translate

Also do you need core for whatever it is that you are doing.
idk anything. and idc. I just want to hit boost without blowing my transmission

After a year and a half I finally got to reunite with my Z today! But the wait was totally worth it! I'm sure by now everyone already knows how awesome the F.I. kit is and how much power it makes, so I'm just gonna talk about my experience here at F.I.. The transmission can definitely hold up the power for sure. Up shift is smooth and downshift is crisp, feels even better than stock! I didn't really get on it due to traffic, tires and other factors, but it drives so well that it was enjoyable even when I was just cruising on the road. I will give more inputs on that once I get to spend more time driving it. What makes my experience 10X better is the F.I. team. Everyone is so helpful and friendly, and they are all perfectionists! That explains why my Z was there for a years and a half, because it wasn't perfect! They treated me like a friend not a customer, for a moment I thought I was there to visit some friends and not check on the car lol. Also got to meet the prototype owner terribleONE, nice car and cool dude! Can't wait to see everyone again on Sunday at Cars and Coffee and drive the Z some more. Here's a short clip of today's drive. Most of the time I was cruising so didn't really get anything good. Will get more footage later on.

Did you mean Supercar Sunday this Sunday? If so, I'm making a mini road trip. Even if it means a 4:30am wake up. I gotta see your beast in person and def cruise after.

Major congrats on finally getting to drive your lady!!! And I def agree, they weren't going to give your car back unless it was perfect!

Great day seeing everyone!

My biggest regret was to not drop by Fast Intentions when I was in LA last October. Definitely the next time I'm around!
