Well I havnt gotten the car back yet LOL. It's getting some more upgrades :excited:
Upgrading to gt30 turbos from gt28 in stage 2
Adding gtm fuel return system
Adding apexi din 3 gauge so this way the defi gauges will have boost, fuel pressure, egt and apexi will show oil pressure, oil temp and water temp
Adding GTR intake manifold

Now if I can keep myself from making anymore upgrades before my wife makes a permanent home for me in the garage I will be good haha

GT3071R turbos welcome to the club:tup: what are your whp's goals for high boost?

I am also curious to see what kind of gains the GTR manifold gives.

Thank you sir :tiphat:
It would be a dream to hit 700rwhp for bragging rights  then have actual 600-650ish to play on. I feel that my hold back is my exhaust. So until we get her on the dyno who knows. Plus it's a different "new" dyno than she was on previously so that's will make it harder to see how much I gained from the gt2860rs also.
I did want to ask what a/r did you go with on your turbos? And what rpm do you hit full boost. Right now the gt28s hit full boost around 4-4500. Was thinking the gt3071 .64 would spool around same time? Or if I should stay with .86? Any feed back you can give me on your setup is much appreciated :tiphat: your numbers are sweet and would be over joyed to have the outcome you have had

Yes but only for me :stirthepot:

J/k :icon23:

It's was Sams idea on this project to give it a little extra oomf. Plus it looks super sweet.

So let me get this straight,

GTM is selling GTR manifold that fits our engine now?

Any dyno before and after?

I believe what you are referring to is that me and mr squeeze will have similar setups so mine having gtr Intake may possibly give him an idea of what the gains might be. I don't know anything other than I'm getting one in my build.

I have the .64 A/R housings I hit full boost 4000-4500 Rpms. I do think your exhaust is going to hold you back man. I had the Greddy TIC exhaust that has a 2.4 O.D that connects to 3 inch down pipe. This was a big time restriction it was hard to get over 600whp for me.

Here is my mid boost graph with the F.I 3 inch exhaust the only difference now on the car is I have open dumps. Since I have done that the car feels more responsive, I will be going to get re-tune end of March early April for more boost.

That's a mighty fine looking graph sir. Thank you for letting me know when you hit boost with the .64 I was wanting to verify that with you and Sam was spot on also. That's a bummer about only hitting 600rwhp as that is the same size I'm at with the Invidia exhaust. Not sure i can swing anymore cash but almost seems to be a waste with all the other breathing mods n fuel mods to get more power. Ugh lol

Only one way to find out when Sam tunes it .

Look at my TT thread for reference on the first page to see my results I got with the smaller Greddy exhaust.

Z eliminator 02-17-2013 08:10 AM

I can not believe that Sam has the GTR manifold and he did not send it to the "Z".
We are going to have to talk to him about that !!!!!

Have the GTR manifolds been tested on a VQ37?

Please keep us updated!!!!!

Z eliminator 02-17-2013 02:22 PM

Me to, i will be calling him as well.

elperuano 02-17-2013 08:42 PM

If the GTR manifold works for the VQ it would probably be best for boosted rides.

TerribleONE 02-17-2013 08:42 PM

is it really just a direct swap?

From what I understand it is not a direct bolt on and some cnc work needs to be done to get it to work. I agree it probably is best for boosted cars as it was designed for a boosted car and isn't plastic like the ones we currently have stock. There isn't any b4 n after dyno sheets that I have seen. This was just something with all the work we are putting Into the car, seemed like the next step b4 I completely finish all the work under the hood. Now all I need is to get my exhaust picked out so we can move more air and get more power.

Shamu 02-18-2013 10:29 AM

That's probably one of the better low end tunes I have seen. But how the heck do you use that power? I find our cars don't do well putting power down after they get above 400.

It comes down to setting the car up correctly to handle the power tires and suspension play a big roll plus conditions.

My car also has longer gearing that the stock 370z final drive of 3.69.

My combo

Auto 350z diff 3.3 final drive
bridgestone re 11
Swift spring's witch are not to low to mess up weight transfer, a car that is slammed for looks is going to have a harder time getting traction. Also having a good alignment helps as well a 400 whp z is very easy to set up for traction.

GTM Racelogic traction control system witch I just got installed on the car works great now in the cold. I cant wait for it to get warmer the system will even work better then.

I haven't tracked any of my 600+ whp yet but when I had less power 570 whp I was able to pull 12.1@127 with a soft launch 2000 rpms and street tires. I do plan on going back in
the spring once the weather breaks .

Should be much better with the racelogic this next time around. I can't wait to play with mine. Did you go with the launch and full throttle shift controller? I won't be able to take mine to the track :shakes head: safety regulations I won't have all the required items to make any passes. Kinda blows cuz I just wanna try it a few times. Oh well. I will just be happy when I get my car and can drive it period at this point haha

Yes I have the launch control feature from reading the manual the full throttle shift is something that has to be wired. Once I get back to the track being able to build boost from a stand still is going to be great.

You do know that the new NHRA rules for 2013 you do not need a roll cage for 2008 or newer for ET street racing. The times are under 9.99 or 135 mph I am happy that there changed.

Nixlimited 02-21-2013 12:36 AM

I have a only a couple of pictures of the install it is fairly simple to install GTM make is very easy. I will upload some picture's once I get a chance to do so.

Z eliminator 02-21-2013 04:33 AM

I just looked at the rule for NHRA roll cages. It states the car must be unaltered . " bone stock as it came from the factory " except for cat back exhaust, air intake, and some other small bolts on's. Good luck with a aftermarket SC or TT or nitrous. They will see it all during teck inspection. the only car that qualifies under this rule new camaros, shelby cobras and the GTR. plus a few other cars Viper. the SC has to be factory show room stock. I can just see the teck guy at my track sending me home after the first sub 11.49 pass.

I was getting a bit excited there about some new track rules but It figures it was too good to be true :shakes head:
A few new items to add to the list of upgrades:
Another 34r oil cooler for dual 34r oil cooling goodness
3" exhaust as recommended by mr squeeze and his dyno charts :tiphat:
Going for 700rwhp or bust :ugh2:

G37Sam 02-23-2013 02:09 AM

Where are you guys buying your 34 row coolers from btw? Setrab directly?

I cant wait to see what your car makes I hope it shatter's my 650whp.
