Jotech Motorsports 370Z Packages

Way overpriced for the HP!
|
Wow, that's way overpriced compared to building an NSX block. For a complete 3.5L built block from Science of Speed, it is under $20k. Paired with GT28RS turbos, we're talking 600-820 whp easy.
For a mild build for force induction, though, it runs around $10k. I think this is the price to pay to have someone build the block versus doing it yourself. Plus, this is low volume. |
I appreciate the package idea as it simplifies things for some but it also limits choice. Labor is so expensive because they want to put in shorties and HFC's. For 320whp, the probably have a high reading dyno.
I spent $5500 and got coated long tubes, motordyne Y pipe, HFC, Tanabe exhaust, pulleys, M370 manifold, AEM CAI, Uprev tuner cable, install, dyno and tune. Should have gave a variable delta from baseline instead of an arbitrary number IMO. |

I wouldn't let Jotech touch my car.

Lol, don't remind me. Instead of doubling horsepower, I gained 1/5th.

About Us |
Is t1 a good place to get my 370 tuned? I have the stillen sc on mine.
|
those are the worst prices i have ever seen in my life...
|
Big time over prices. Stage two turbo, boost controller, exaust, down pipe, clutch n fly, labor and tuning ect ect for bout 15000 at z1. I'm at 540 WHP. Reliable
|
I'm curious about motor build... do most people build it in the garage or figure out a way to do a "clean room" environment? Just wondering about dirt, particles, or even metal shavings. Haha I prob won't build one on my own (can only build computers), but maybe someday I'll find a used block to disassemble and clean up for a build on day.

i got a quote less than this for a better system, full stage 4 transmission, and labor (expensive labor lol) |
Anyone take a look at GTM's Stage 0 Longblock? It's under $8k. I might add a few options which will probably up the price close to $10k if I were to have them do it. I'm not shooting for anything higher than 600 whp, but more like peace of mind compared to having a stock block.
|
Once u upgrade block, if ur gonna go for more power youre gonna start needing extra support mods to get there. For 600 I'm pretty sure you're gonna need an upgraded fuel system prolly. So keep that in mind also.
|
Thanks for the heads up as CJM might be the way to go for the fuel return system. That's just theoretical as 450 whp is plenty of fun as is, and I'm pretty sure it'll be better with a proper tune with better response. Man it's such a waste to see a decent long block for $450 posted in the for sale thread. I'll just keep on saving as long as my engine is still good :)
|
all you need is a fuel return and you can run in the upper 500s. I got a meth kit in today and the aam fuel return and im going for 600 whp as soon as i can get it all together. should be pretty reliable to.
|
Cool... I looked up the CJM kit. Price isn't too bad!
