That sucks, I liked the ring of LED's on them. When the time gets a bit closer I will give them a call and see what they have to say for what I want to do. Still gotta recuperate from the FI kit costs, haha.

I have AFR and vac/boost PLX sensors with the PLX multitouch gauges, I plan on getting another AFR, oil pressure, and fuel pressure in the future. Next step is replacing the gauges with a custom computer/LCD for the cubby to do data logging.

How do you like the EVC-S? I'm trying to decide between the EVC-S and the EVC-6.

I like it a lot, its fairly simple to setup but provides enough settings to tune the solenoid to control boost well. The S is much cheaper, but it does not allow for per gear/speed boost control like the EVC-6 does, which may or may not be useful depending on your setup.

I have a 3.5 FD and I still have trouble hooking in 2nd at 12psi with 305 RE-11's. With my built engine I plan on running 18psi high boost, so it would likely be beneficial to run less boost in 1st and 2nd for example. I'm going to go through quite a lot of tires next summer.

Very good to know! I think the EVC-6 is maybe $300 more. Not a big deal after all the money spent to get here. I didn't know about the gear/speed boost control. I don't plan on racing, but I do know first gear will be useless... might be worth it to get the EVC-6.

Rep'd.

Just FYI - I plan on going a little different route with my gauge/monitoring setup, so will be selling my PLX setup. If anyone is interested, shoot me a PM. I will try to get a For Sale thread going today or tomorrow. Here is what I have currently:

-DM-100 OBD II color screen gauge
-Wide Band AF Module
-Vacuum/Boost Module
-Fluid Pressure (Oil) Module
-All cables/interconnects

I'm interested, one or 2 fluid sensors?

Just one. The module has two inputs, but I only bought one sensor. Everything is still on the car currently, but it won't take me long to take it off. All of it has been used for less than a year (less than 5k miles).

Does anyone have any photos of the PLX gauges fitted..? Please and thank you...?

Just installed my PLX gauge but haven't completely wired it up yet. Also have a PLX boost sensor module to install too. I didn't know where to mount the gauge, didn't really want to spend $160 for an A-pillar mount nor wanted to increase the blind spot which is already bad due to the GIANT mirrors. So I took my windshield phone holder (made by Taotronics...like $10) by removing the screw that holds a small round threaded piece of plastic to the phone cradle. This piece of plastic is a socket for the windshield arm's "ball". This small round threaded piece was then super glued to the back of the gauge. The windshield mount arm's ball was then popped into the socket and then locked down by the threaded collar. It is completely adjustable and tightens up. This particular brand is great, the rubber part that goes onto the windshield became even more sticky over time so this thing hasn't fallen off my windshield for over 3 years and as sticky as it is I have complete confident it won't.
The one pic shows the camera from my eye level, and if you look closely you can see the windshield mount is actually below my field of view as the mount in within the view of the hood. I changed the color of the needle, values, labels, etc. to be orange to match my OEM gauges.

Sample of how my PLX gauge was installed in the clock location. Scroll down a little on the page. It was expensive to install it there though.
