In car footage of the Import Tuner car tearing it up on the track.

I love how the outside camera the driver isn't wearing gloves, and then the inside camera the guy is wearing gloves...lol

The Greddy TT install is going well. We had the motor pulled , the hard to reach components on and the motor back in the car in 24hrs. All of the components so far seem to be of the highest quality and install easily. It's a tight fit back in the car, but we only had to make one modification. There are 2 small ears that the undertray attach to that had to be removed to clear the oil pan.... 5min set back tops.... more to come with pics later.

That is true. AAM just bent them back a little bit, hardly noticeable, you didn't have to remove them.

could have bent them.... we are flat bottom so just cut them.

FuszNissan 04-28-2010 11:28 AM

Don't understand, flat bottom comment?

More than one way to skin a cat.

splitter is continuous from the front edge of the bumper past the center of the front axle.... we are using only a few of the factory mounting points

As I stated in an earlier post the install is going well. We have been waiting the last few days on the balance of our return fuel system. If everything comes in the car will be buttoned up in a few days. The car is scheduled to be tuned on Monday.

I've made detailed notes of the install. If anyone has questions I'll be glad to answer them.

Here's a couple of pics

jay,

Your car looks amazing. It looks like you are building a track monster. I notice that you are running an aftermarket radiator. I was curious as to who makes it?

Anyways, any feedback you can offer about the oil temps. would be greatly appreciated. I know I keep asking in various turbo threads, but its the Greddy kit that I'm particularly interested in. Mostly because they have oil lubricated and cooled turbos.

I look forward to seeing the progress.

The radiator is a C and R heat with an integrated heat exchange oil cooler. It gave us better cooling than the Stillen, however we still saw 270-280 on an 85 deg ambient day. We are currently running both coolers. The highest temp I've seen is 260. We are currently working with C and R for a permanent solution in a single package. When we get it sorted and tested, I will make the details available.

We buttoned up the install on Sunday. Most of our time has been spent on modifications to all the ancillary systems on the car. The Greddy potion was probably the easiest part. As this car is a track only car, there has been a lot of attention given to details that may not be necessary on a street car.

This install was done in my 3 car garage on jack stands. (I do have an engine lift) We received the install manual after the motor was back in the car. This gives some idea of how well it goes together! Other than rerouting the fuel line, there is very little fab or modification required. CJ provided us with a return fuel system that installed in a few hours. The car fired right up. No leaks. No issues. We are using a Greddy Informetter Touch as a gauge package, and I can't imagine they will be able to keep them on the shelves. This is the coolest device I've seen in a while. If you love you I-Phone this is a must have! We'll see if it can survive track duty...

The car is heading to Sharif's shop this morning to be tuned. Should have some numbers soon.

Man, that's awesome! Can't wait to read more about your car.

Looks Great!
