anyone that thinks that the single turbo takes away from ANYTHING..... I'm sorry, I have to say you're incorrect. This thing is a BLAST to drive. Very responsive and it just craps horsepower and speed.
:tiphat: |
I must agree with the post above. I just recently got a chance to go for a spin in the twin scroll car that I recently built a kit for.....and it pulls hard. 10 psi at 3600rpm and from there you just hang on all the way to red line. If feels like the car came off the production floor like that (and perhaps it should have).

The same thing could be said for SynchroRev Matching on the 6MT, it's doing part of the job for you calculating the proper RPMs when you downshift, so unless you never ever turn it on, it's kind of a situation of arguing 6 to one, half a dozen to another... True an Auto may not be following suit of the 'traditional old-school' mentality of Manual trans or :gtfo2:, but as we've seen, M3, GT-R, Lambo's, Ferarri's, Porche's, are all equipping some variant of an "Auto" trans... And lest we forget, top fuel dragsters. Hate or not, it is still just as fun in its own way. Sure in a MT you gun it, go, off gas, lurch forward, shift, on gas, snap back, and do this 4 or 5 more times... But with the 7AT in either mode, you are On the gas, and you never have to take your foot off... it's just go... go... GO. Kind of like riding a jet fighter or a rocket ship. It's hit the 'On' button, and see how far you can push the limit till your balls fail you. |

Back on Route 1 at home, I had some MILF in an auto Murano stab the throttle against my Subi from light to light. She killed me because I was pausing between shifts. (Read Chris' quote...) 10-second Subi p0wned by a soccer mom. Hence, the switchover for me. I LOVE it. BOY_RACER, errr... 370_RACER, you have much to teach, but MORE to learn. Just sayin'.... ;) Coop |

Considering he was running 1.5x the HP of any of those cars listed, I'd say I would expect him to do as good/better. :roflpuke2: But yeah, still pretty impressive to beat a stock Z through the wall... :icon17: |

I don't know if you have seen my dyno sheet, but the curve is very smooth, and the car drives almost like stock before boost. I know Marti wants to keep that same feel, but deliver more torque.... and for me, more power |

your comments are nonsensical at best... by your logic, I shouldn't mod my car unless I am a racecar driver? why does one put an intake or exhaust on ones car? because they want to mod... or have more power, or because they can... No, I don't have an SCCA license yet.. I am Active Duty Military, the lead of my section, and deploy so I can't just take off any ol' time to do the class(es) now with that, please leave your ignorant and off topic questions at the door.. kthxbye... |

however, I am getting a roll cage, and more suspension work done while the car is going to be down. |
