Been there done that... the G put down more than 550+ at the wheels and we just built the motor for the new owner. We are hoping for 600+rwhp. The transmission has held up GREAT! OS Giken double plate clutch is phenominal as well as their triple plate clutch!

Yeah it handles great at a track or dyno or strip... but 4 way stops are it's nemesis...

I am constantly learning.. Unlike you, I know that I still have much to learn.

But what I know for certain, is that you are blinded by your own ignorance.
-You do realize that the auto is not the same as the dual clutch auto trans from the GTR, right?

I have owned and driven many boosted cars with fairly high horsepower..
z32 with 550+whp (owned and driven for 3 years.. DD all summer long)
Supra with 700+whp
z33 with 500+whp..

I even drove an '03 z33 with TT's and had no issues with the 6mt.. And that was the most notorious year for 3rd gear grind.

Learn to shift your car properly and you shouldn't have issues..
Hell, I am sure there are many others with more WHP (PhunK for example) who have experience driving with high hp & 6mt.. and I doubt he is having any issues with his 6mt.

IIRC, he still has AC!

Hal is also the reigning "Runway" champ.. and I believe will be at Zdayz to defend it.

I could be wrong i dont really know i can only speek from my own problems and the 150 other members in the louisiana z n g community. All the autos if done correctly with the right supporting mods tend to take the beating more then your human controlled manual transmission.

The auto tranny can't hold up better thant the 6MT the clutch's in it are just to small. The auto is not a DCT like the GTR,6MT is just stronger period.

Thats how ignorant you are your arguing that fact that it is an isnt is irrelovant. Obviously these problems arent occuring in every transmission. All Iv stated is by looking at the number of tranny complaints on here and my club it seems the auto is holding up better. I stated up top that I have no idea which one is in fact better. Do I know the 6mt is proven yes I think the tranny is definitly proven and it is great transmission but you cant speak for every person with a 6mt z. From my own experience with an auto z and a manual z iv had more problems with my manual. Mabe your right mabe the manual is the better of the 2 only the manual you have to be a " great shifter" which is why in the begining I said the auto system itself may be better just because theres no human error. Now a shisty shifter like yourself may not have as many problems as some with a little less shifting skills. Not everyone is a "professional shifter" like you so you cant speak for the masses. Theres more people out there running 370z on the track then just the people on this site. So ok i can rephrase what I said in the begining and say mabe the auto is a better choice for you less seasoned drivers who want to track there cars. Remember you cant teach a skill to everyone. As for me its not s shifting problem that I promise you.
