2009 NISMO Edition GEARHEINZ/HKS TT build!!!

This will be the first part of A 3 part build. We arent trying to make 1000 HP or have a huge turbo sticking out of the hood.... none of that BS. what we are going to do is make good power with great reliability and a small amount of butchering to the car.

Parts being used

HKS GT-RS turbo kit and custom intercooler kit for 350Z Modified by HKS USA and GEARHEINZ POWER SERVICE to make it a bolt on application

R35 injectors - plug and play

NEKO corporation ECU

walbro fuel pump

all parts and tuning were purchased and installed @

More info on the NEKO tuning?

Cell 02-07-2012 03:36 PM

This is a much different route to take for FI compared to 99.99% of people on this board lol. Also, nice build, can't wait to see more.

Phuck Phace 02-07-2012 08:28 PM

Oye, subscribing.

gearheinz 02-07-2012 08:56 PM

Any dyno runs?

Now if only we could take that front cross member and drill a bunch of holes in it to allow air to pass through.

well drilling holes wouldnt increase any air flow as the bumper covers it.
ill have dyno graphs up tomorrow.

nismo 1234 02-07-2012 11:19 PM

so this kit is no longer available even from hks?

Cell 02-08-2012 01:01 AM

How are the oil temps during spirited driving and regular driving in 80+ degree weather?

Did you also buy this kit from a member here that was selling it?

No, it was a one off. HKS prototype kit that never made it to production.

OP was the one selling the kit. Another member here bought it and had OP install it.

1 Attachment(s)
Attachment 40827

first of all im not very good with computers so i could not convert the PDF to a JPEG for uplaod :/

for this dyno graph the car was tuned on HKS USA's DYNO JET at 5psi and made 370hp and 292 ft/lb of torque.

the car will be back in the next few weeks for a re-tune. since the motor is stock we will only tune it to about 450hp

BLUESLATE 02-08-2012 06:24 PM

Unique_Z 02-08-2012 08:16 PM

the type of setup i wanted! any details on this? especially the NEKO ecu..why you didnt use HKS FCON V PRO instead?

GaleForce 02-08-2012 08:55 PM

Here's your dyno graph. I can email you the JPG if you want.

The car was finished in November and since then San Diego hasn't been up in the 80s so I can't comment on that. The oil temps have gotten a bit high with spirited driving but nothing that was to high. But I haven't taken it to the track and my spirited driving never gets to spirited on the highway.

You can use v-pro, but check engine light will stay on constant. Kit is available, pm me for details.

Very cool kit from HKS, altho from the pics, the turbos looks to be quite small, not sure if i'm just delusional or something, how do the turbos used in this kit compare to the GT28 on the GTM TT kit?

With the turbos and the amount of boost making 370whp on a Dynojet, I would assume this would be on the lines of the GTM Stage 1 kit (GT26 - GT28 w/ smaller housing).

HKS doesnt make a V-pro harness for the 370Z, so it would have to be hardwired into the OEM harness= more money for customer to pay. second, HKS USA used NEKO with their 370Z, and recomended i do the same with customers cars. im currently getting more on this subject.

thanks
