How much do you still owe on your FI car??
and did you put the FI system on credit, or pay cash?
I'm trying to figure out what other people are doing. If you don't want to say I understand, but It will help others.. I bought my 2010 brand new with a trade-in, that I lost money on, 2007 RANGE ROVER, Piece of Garbage, but super clean ride... Bought for 42 out the door after trade, owe 34k. |
Bought my G in 08 with 10k down. Today I still owe about 15k.
Paid all cash for both STILLEN SC and GTM SC plus all the other mods I have done to my car. Absolutely no credit cards! Also, not trying to flash or anything like that. That's just how I would like to go about modding. |
car is financed... like above all mods have been and will be paid cash.. boost coming soon!! Same thing I did for my chevy silverado
|
I owe 39 on my car, only had it for 9 months , zs are a bit higher in price compared to down there in the states, bought the fi system on my master card so I get the points then paid it off before statement date. But even if I didn't have the cash I still woulda done it it's your money and you only live once :)
|
And I'm only 21 so I don't have another commitments I don't own a house , I rent but I do make alot, but I work hard and ima spend it how I want, there is always money to be made.
|
Took out a 34k loan for the car. I owe roughly 22k. Should be at the halfway point in April. That makes 2 years of payment and ahead of schedule. Used mostly cash/debit card to pay for my TT build. Used a CC to pay the rest of my invoice, but had the cash to pay it off right away.
Maybe I should have paid the car off and then saved for my build........oh well! |

Paid mine off December 23rd...
Just got my lien release today!!! |
Bought the car for 34 but owe 23 on it (only had 1200miles on it)...used the turbo money to keep the payment down (7000)....put the turbo on cc but of $12,000 I spent on it I only owe $4000 on the card (system went on in sept.). Hey paying cash for everything is never a good idea. Having credit is the only way you get things for cheap, sucks but fact of life. Just make sure if you do go credit you can afford the extra payments to get payed off quick or the money you thought it would cost will double if not triple quickly. Learned that one when I was younger the hard way.

Paid cash for the car and SC kit. Then again, single 22yr old with a job and not much stuff to pay for if that makes any difference.
|
Shuffled a bit of house downpayment to quickly pay off the FI stuff. House build starts soon, so it'll be roughly May at the earliest so I can continue saving.
Car payments? Less than $11k to go. Back to single life. Therefore, no engagement or wedding this year... so I'm pretty sure I can handle it haha. |
I work the overtime hours to pay for my toys and the extras to go with it.
paid in full for everything |
paid in full.
Zat. you running yours in the winter or you store it? I need to do a SC oil change on mine. |
Shum.
I park mine in the winter. Start to work on it when the truck can sit outside and not be frozen in the morning. Aim to have back on the road June 1 Have you seen the GTM's maintenance kit? GTM Motorsports*::*FORCED INDUCTION*::*Supercharger Fluid-Misc*::*GTM Supercharger Maintenance Kit Good to see that your still around |

Car is a little more than half paid off, all mods were in cash. Working part time right now, once I can put nose to stone and pass the bar I can start building for real :)

Honestly, never finance modifications to a car. I would suggest never throw a lot of money at a car you still owe a lot on, but that is no fun. |
Paid $29k no money down
had the car for 1yr now still owe $21k Used my line of credit to pay for all my mods about $11k As of last month my line of credit is paid back in full Yea I could have put that 11 on the car note but what fun would that be :) |
Well at least now the car is more fun to drive!
|
Car is paid off, I took out a loan with a really good interest rate to pay for my supercharger. I could have paid cash, but it's nice to have it saved in the bank in case something comes up. I'm 25 now, no major bills and I originally bought the car back when I was 21.
