7?!? How many were running over 500whp? I still think that 500whp is do able safely as long as you don't hammer it around every corner and have a spot on tune. The scariest setup I've seen was at a local dyno day, dude had a stillen s/c made 436whp but the overwhelming fumes and black mist coming out the exhaust made me wonder why he was sooo happy with his results, it looked and smelled like sh!t.

Its a guessing game Im not playing. Point is its not built for that type of power and its not a strait 6 2JZ. Since i plan on building a stout shortblock ill live w/ sub 500 whp for a little while. Save big $$$ in the long run.
On a side note those are good numbers Jamaica. 100 octane plus meth is awesome! Sent from my SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE using TapTalk 2 |

So are the yellow numbers on the dyno graphs 91 oct /w meth and green 100 oct /w meth? Lower green plot is where you de-tuned it to?
|
so the map number 5 is for 100octane and meth ? c16 wasnt used yeah, and all the other maps are 91 and meth? when you change the map on the uprev does it change along the boost setting with it or do u have to change it by the controller ?
thanks  |
No the final tune is composed of 100oct an meth. The first three maps are with 100 octane. You will be able to adjust the boost with the electronic boat controller that's in the car .

I really don't think this will last long term unless the car is treated like a baby. My friends Nismo just blew up 2 weeks ago after 13k hard miles 12psi shot a rod threw the block. |

500whp is nothing nowadays. It's all depends how you drive the car and how it's tuned. The customer is overseas and has access to higher octane. Everyone has there opinion on much whp the block can hold. Overall I'm happy with build. Overcame some big issues and new parts that were made to make this power
|
Agreed 500 is not much nowadays. What I am saying is that IMO anything over that amount is too much for the stock block to handle over an extended amount of time. I do give you props on the build, numbers are very good! And like you said, what the customer wants, the customer gets.
Who tuned the car? What new parts did you guys came out with? |
meh...I wouldn't worry about blowing that motor. It's not making as much power as you think it is. Dyna pack hub dynos read really high. Now, if it was ~550whp on a DynoJet and that's the tune the customer would actually run on a daily basis, I'd be concerned about longevity.
