and why does that exactly matter, you do highway driving with minimal street lights, no more than the majority of this forum. don't mention NY as a factor in your gas mileage, because it's not.

every block has a stop sign, every intersection has a light. You can keep your potholes though. i dont mind not having them. we also have more than 1 highway here that isn't a POS.

This thread is very humorous. I am enjoying the arguement.

lol you made 4 points and only 1 of them is relevant. i drive in long island often enough to know what the road conditions are like, fuel economy wise.

about 18 towards the end, so I'm not sure why youre getting same as me. must be because you're either
A) Horrible driver that has to tailgate every single time I've been in your car
B) SHORT THROW SHIFTER OMG IM GONNA SUCK DICK AT DRIVING
C) you found the VDC button 3 months ago and decided to go sideways on every suburban left-turn you have to make while little kids stare at you like an idiot

A) tailgating is drafting, he'd be seeing better mileage if that were the case.

not if you speed up to the car in front, brake because you got to close and then switch lanes because you need to catch up the guy in the lane to the right of you

A. Its not tailgating. i'm just encouraging the cars in front of me. Kind of like a coach of sorts.
B. You should have installed a short throw shifter on your 370z. oh wait, its automatic. Well at least now that you got a bmw and ordered it exactly to your specifications, you can finally get a manual. oh, what was that? it's an automatic too? :rofl2:
C. Well at least neither of us live in god damn NJ where you can't make a left turn anywhere. Thank god for that.

I have yet to put a full tank of gas thru it without keeping my foot out of the throttle with that said I still get 350 miles to the tank that's about 20 mpg.

Very nice, I was only able to squeeze around 300 miles a tank when I had mine.

W.O.W. 370Z 05-19-2012 12:58 PM

That's what i was getting on old tune. Now getting around 330-340 a tank.

Also during that tank my car was on Z1's dyno and they did 30 pulls.

30 pulls and still 350 miles? That's crazy! You must have a really good tuner

DIGItonium 05-19-2012 03:51 PM

I hardly empty my tank, but on average it's about 21.7 MPG for daily driving. The highest is about 22.3 MPG. Since I don't drive my car as hard, the worst is around 18-19 MPG.

Yeah John@ Z1 spent 4hrs. on my car,and when he gets back from Z days I have a surprise for him I installed a Snow Performance water/meth kit so he can have fun with that.:icon17:

esfourteen 05-20-2012 10:54 AM

I'm getting about 16 so far mixed, but this is a lot of rich WOT pulls, need to clean up the AFR

There's a correlation with tire wear and MPG. All the "testing" leads to lower fuel economy and accelerated tire wear. :rofl2:

Nixlimited 05-20-2012 12:08 PM

Jesus, I hardly ever hit 300 miles on a tank and I'm NA still. Don't know if part of that is still motor break-in. I only have 2K miles. I'm also mostly city driving.
