I hope we can get some 1/4 mile numbers from this kit soon too :)

To be fair to GTM, He did offer me a stage 1 kit last year. But i wanted the stage 2.
He did not get the SC from europe till the end of Dec 2010. It took a while for them to ship them to him. When he got them the SC were bigger than the stage 1 and he had to redesign most of the piping and intake piping for the filters.
It looks like mine will be the first 7 AT stage 2 and he has hit a small problem with the tranny cooling lines. This is being resolved now and the good thing is that he will have a tune for a 7 AT car. He is installing one now.
It take time to get it right as he had to make new mounts for the car and a lot of R&D went into the kit.
I have endless paitiance as im sure that when i get the SC it will install perfectly and make great power @11 lbs boost. I also got the meth kit for it with the stealth intercooler and piping.
It just means that i get a few more try's at try ing to get close to J nauts 12.24 1/4 mile run with my N/A set up.
I hope to have it soon so that i can run it at the track before they close at the end of OCT.
And yes it gets frustrating and painfully waiting for it as its paid in full.

The tranny cooler is a must. My car is the testing car for the A7. Sam will have my car all next week to get some more testing done. Good thing He can fix the issues now before its shipped out.

I believe Jamaica@UAM is the first 7AT to have the Stage 2 SC installed.

Look at that timing :icon17:

Guess you're faster than me now that you have that SC. :bowrofl:

Mine is paid in full as well, but I am viewing as more time to save for, well, more stuff... My bank account says FML :icon17:

Aloha!

So, I just picked up my Stage 2 370 and here are my first impressions:

1. Turned the engine on and you can tell that it isn't "stock". I was surprised that the car wasn't OVERLY loud. Especially while I am running the GTM Resonated Test Pipes and Invidia Exhaust. So yeah, it's not that loud during ignition. But still it sounds great!

2. I took it out of the shipping yards and onto the streets with no issues. Already turned some heads but probably for different reasons (yellow paint?) I took it easy on the streets as I didn't want to get pulled over right when I got the car... it was very responsive.

3. Getting onto the highway, I floored it to see how quickly it accelerates... it was fast. In fact, it was so fast that I didn't know I was going past 100 already in just a matter of seconds. I didn't gun it for too long though... but yeah, it's fast. And you can hear the bypass valve clearly =)

4. GTM also installed my multiguage setup. It's pretty cool. I just don't know how to use it. And by that, I mean the little controller that is attached to it. Plus I still have to install an additional sensor. I'll get into it more when I get off work...

5. Upon arrival to my home here in Hawaii, I opened the hood to see the installation. Looks super clean and appears to only have a CAI (Like most photos). Stealthy look as usual but the sound of the car is what amazes people. I can see the motor mounts on the bottom and they look great. Sadly, normal people won't know they are there unless they know what they are looking for.
The intercooler looks awesome. You can see it from far away too. It's not excessively large but just enough to cover the entire gap of the front end. And since it is behind the "fins", it still gives it that stealthy look but all that power behind it.

So yeah, my first impressions. All 30 minutes with the car before I had to goto work again =(

I'll have some videos and photos up by tonight (Hawaii time) when I get home.

Awesome review definition, congrats on a successful FI build! The problem with your review though is that it makes me have an even more unhealthy fascination with the stage 2 SC kit....

thanks for the update, video dude

Great review and I imagine great feel also. Yea usually when you go FI it quiets it a little or a lot in some cases like my 350 did.

Hey dude, you're on Oahu right? Any chance you come out on car cruises at all? I'd love to check out your car if you ever come out, it looks pretty sick and sounds undoubtedly fast! I'm the guy in the gray 37 on black Volk wheels if you ever make it out, I should be on the cruise tonight.

Ive taken this car out for a mild spin and I have to say it is absolutely intoxicating. I could only wish there were some way to make it work/fit with the LTH... but supposedly it wont. My thought on that matter has something to do with the new motor mounts and steering knuckle.

Just driving around it doesnt feel different at all really. Still the same smooth feeling with no abrupt power surges or anything. Stop & Go or otherwise and it felt fine. I monitored the intercooler inlet and outlet temps while driving and was surpirised how well the intercooler kept the intake temps normalized. Even in stop and go traffic the temps didnt change dramatically. I also noticed the oil temps remained in the sweet spot of ~200.

When giving it some gas, I would smoothly accelerate... quite quickly might I add. I did no 1st gear pulls or any crazy shifting out of respect of the owner, but I will say that from 2nd to 3rd you will spin uncontrolably if you have anything less than sticky 305's in the back. Thankfully, he has hankook ventus evo V12's all around and 305's in the rear, which gave plenty of bite. There was still spin, but it was very manageable.

All in all, I love his car. Im seriously debating selling my bike in favor of modding my car more. I love riding my bike... but realistically I dont do it too often. My car on the otherhand, is a DD, and I love it. But its not SCd!

Forgive me if this was mentioned somewhere else, or if it's just supposed to be 'known' but whats the difference between the Tuner kits and the Turn Key kits?
