Nismo 370z GTM Twin Turbo?!

Ok everyone please bear with me I am totally new to the twin turbo deal and know very little lol. Just to give a little info on my car now and what my plans are...

2009 Nissan 370z Nismo
  • Fast Intentions CBE 18"
  • Fast Intentions LTH
  • NST Under/Overdrive Pulley
  • Stillen GenIII DCAI
  • Osiris UpRev Flash

Now I know the intakes will have to go. I know I will have to get a new tune so thats out the door. I know I can keep my fi cbe. I am pretty sure I have to get rid of my fi lth though. What about the pulleys?

I know I am going with the GTM stage II kit that supports up to 700hp. I do know the vq37 is a pretty good engine. I want to use this car for off road purposes mostly but it will be driven slightly maybe a weekend or two during summer times. But off-road mainly whether it be drag, track, etc. I know for sure when I am at whatever event I want my car laying down to the wheel no less than 600rwhp and no more than the 700 it says. Now When i am just around town on weekends or something high 400 low 500 would suffice.

So I know to get this power first off i need the turbo kit. I know I will need a boost controller to keep power up or down depending. I know coolers are needed oil cooler for one. Any others that I might want to invest in to keep the engine last longer? I know one hell of a clutch/fly. Umm bigger fuel injectors i am guessing. Since I am getting rid of my fi lth can i get some sort of hfc or something? Or test pipes or what? Tried finding a build with certian brand names and products that would work good together couldnt really find anything already done. Got a nice bonus so I am itching to spend it...all lol anyone wanna help me build this thing please feel free to respond on what you might use to get the results I am talking about.

Thanks everyone

Ok Andrew here is an idea of what you will need:

GTM stage 2 tt kit
Keep your exhaust- lose the headers, intake
OS giken twin plate clutch
Built motor
Fuel system
Up rev or fcon vpro

Look at my build project white dragon. You don't have to go that big but there are plenty of supporting mods in there you will need.

yeah i looked at that thread way over what i am looking for but i did look at what you were going with that is going to be a beast .

I have seen alot of people use the os giken but i was thinking the exedy twin disc. but i dont know much about either is one better as far as durability and quality? what kind of fuel system though gtm stage 2 or 3 maybe?

And when I talked to Z1 they said 600hp they engine should be about to handle it. so by building it what did you think?

double post

600 Will NOT be reliable on a stock bottom end.

also from what I hear the OS Giken is really really harsh on CSC's....

600whp on the stock engine is pushing the limits as it is. Add track time to that, and you have a recipe for a blown motor.

We would recommend running ~450whp for the track if you plan on running a stock engine. If you are serious about 600whp, then you will need to budget in a built motor.

As far as fuel system is concerned at 450whp, the injectors and fuel pump included with our Turn-Key kit is sufficient.

If you would like us to put together a parts package for you, let us know what your budget is and we will do our best to get you as close to meeting your goals as possible.

Andrew definitely give GTM a call! They know their stuff better than anyone!

:iagree:

Sam will answer all of your questions.

Be careful though, he is one hell of a salesman too.

Most guys running forced induction are having great reliability in the 400-500rwhp range. There are some that have pushed further but the majority fall in that range and have not had any major issues as long as the hardware, install, and tune are done well.

^^^ thank you!

While we're on the topic of GTM TT and NISMO, what ECU program comes standard with these tunes? Standard or NISMO?

I am interested as well. I wanted to drop my car to Sam while I am am deployed, but I had to take care of some other more pressing issues.

[off-topic]

I still plan on going with the Stage 2, but my timeline has changed significantly. since I have to wait, I am waiting to see what the Stage 2 SC is going to look like opposed to the Stage 2 TT. I am thinking that the SC will be better suited for a semi-weekend warrior. 500 HP is a beast no matter how you look at it.

I know the driver makes all the difference in the world, but I am staying with Chargers, Challengers, Mustangs, and modded Evos (7-9, and one is a sick MR). I haven't had any isses with oil temps, but Fort Hood / Killeen gets pretty hot in the summer.

if i went with a stage 3 and stage 3 fuel system from gtm and left engine stock internals but just went with low boost like 5lbs it would be the same if i went with like at a stage 2 with higher boost around 10ish right? or wrong?
