ANMVQ 09-16-2013 01:25 PM

I wsa around 15-16 MPG with mine :/

Chuck33079 09-16-2013 01:27 PM

With boost and 4.08s, won't you get 0 miles per gallon since you're just sitting still spinning the tires?

brucelidat 09-16-2013 01:45 PM

sam at GTM said to expect a 5-7 mpg loss

Baer383 09-16-2013 03:58 PM

I get 24 mpg on the hwy with mine.

Is that relatively traffic free cruising on the highways? How much did you get before the kit? I would be cool with that, but it's hard to throw out what Sam said, though since they make the kits. I would start a SC mpg thread poll, but I know I will be flamed for caring about MPG, haha.

Cruising down the highway I get that, but trust me once your boosted you won't give a sh!t about gas mileage.:driving:

Unless I'm missing something a closed loop map setting should get the same mpg as anyone's closed loop map setting. I get 27mpg straight highway. I should get the same with whatever bolted on as long as I stay in closed loop. My subis were 27mpg also pushing over 330hp to the wheels. Open loop is another story. The fact that your asking about a supercharger is irrelevant, the question should be "with my SC what will my right foot and pedal get me for mpg loss?" If your car weighs the same as a NA car, driving down the highway your mpg's should be identical.

yes, but my bigger concern was Sam's 5-7 mpg loss estimate, haha. I the traction thing was a big issue, I could just swap out tot he stock pumpkin.

I would think the additional parasitic drag from the blower would eat up some gas, even in closed loop.

Yeahhhhhh :iagree:
And to maintain speed you need to press the gas pedal taking it off the closed loop and since you're S/C vs Turbo'd you'd have to burn even more fuel to turn the SC (right?)

Oh, and synolimit, your Subarus are turbo'd, very different beasts

Chuck33079 09-16-2013 09:16 PM

MPG with a supercharger

You'd still be in closed loop at part throttle, but you're right on the rest.
