I have news to let everyone know for the 370Z. Automatic transmission at this time. Standard parts are not available at this time. In the case of damage you can not. Find parts for repairs. You need to buy the whole transmission.

I think most members are aware that these transmissions are supposedly a non-serviceable part in the views of the dealer which is the same for GT-R GR6 trannys. so the dealer wants you to buy the complete unit. so your gonna have to wait for GTM to come up with solution.

facts that forum members might not know:
1. a bnib 370z can cost anywhere from 100k-120kusd in thailand(308% tax)
2. i would cry if imported cars costed that much.
3. the 370z in thailand is not a official car Nissan dealer car in thailand meaning you import it from jpn on your own, at your own risk, so obviously no warranty but if you go through an importer there is but they not giving you a new tranny that's for sure.
4. the tempurature is insane just like the driving. that's if your driving. try being stuck in traffic for 3hours and moved 3 kms in those 3hours. then when you actually get moving, you then accelerate with everything you have only to come to complete stop after maybe 5 seconds and have your car sit there for another ten minutes in 40c plus heat. so somethings going to give.
5. every little lube, oil and filter place has nitrogen for your tires and any bs place that has a alignment machine has a hunter's laser one.
6. when you are on the road its a race all the time

We can also get an official car from Nissan but they will cost about $30K more than grey market imports. Here they are a few authorized Nissan dealers who can service the car, but it seems like 90% of the Z (and GT-R) owners here use the op's shop, which is also an official Nissan dealer.

Not necessary to wait. Just operate on the spring pressure only, get used to the added power, drive normally/ take it easy, and enjoy.

Yeah, it sucks, but I am currently exercising restraint.....barely.

Mr&Mrs 02-08-2011 12:51 AM

Any updates? I'm going crazy trying to push off F.I but I know I will blow up my tranny if I do not build it first lol.

shumby 02-08-2011 07:52 AM

I am getting alot of PM's regarding how my trans fail and my driving style. Looks like there might be alot of interest ion this when it becomes available. Sam hurry up. lol Eric said you can stop work on his SC and just spend the next month working on my trans. No really he did. ahahahahahaha

Im glad to see that your " wife arranged to get the Transmision shipped for you "
to GTM.
Sam keep working on my stage 2, racelogic traction control and my Uprev.
before you look at his damaged 7 AT. Shumby does not need a car as up there he uses a dog sled with GPS. for 8 months of the year.
I hear that he is a pasenger on it and his wife drives it. The real reason his transmision broke is that he parked it in the iglo and it froze to death.
And lets not forget the VVEL. (im saving for it as we speak )
Should have bought the SC 2012 Ford Mustang.
There is no problem getting toys for that car.
