Yes the car is running and yes the car has dyno #'s. However, we are developing a whole new intake manifold and we have chosen to hold the release of numbers until we finish development on this intake.

How exactly is you posting your dyno sheets compromising anything related to the development of a new intake manifold. No one is asking you to post before and after dynos...so no one will be able to tell what sort of gains you made with your thuper secret UAM intake manifold. It seems like you are just using stalling tactics and this thread is still vaporware hyped ******** like it was over a year ago.

Yeah, this thread has gone from build thread to hide the ball thread. Everyone else on here gives updates as their projects come along. I realize this is the most extreme project on here more than likely, but that's really no excuse. I am not even convinced this car turns on presently.

you people are funny!

This thread is the butt of many jokes on at least 3 other forums that I have seen.

I am a GTM customer so I am not busting GTMs stones, but people need to stop bumping this thread back to the main page until we have a dyno sheet and dyno video. This especially goes for Reality and Kingbaby who are just here to :stirthepot:. It had slipped off the front page of the FI finally until those two kicked it back to the front.

Until we have a video and sheet posted it has never happened, and this thread is basically forum clutter that needs to be relegated to page 6 of the FI section.

And why exactly do you care so much? You don't even have a 370z, which is funny since the two other most vocal naysayers that pop up in this thread also don't have 370zs.

1slow370 08-19-2011 08:18 PM

you know how much of a kick in the stones it is to buy a car, upgrade the snot out of it, be king$hit for a while then a new version comes out that is all around better and you'd lose ur @$$ to sell and upgrade? all they have left is a few 1khp cars so when we get one they have to go "crap it can do that too" I agree though just for the sake of saneness the next post needs to be Sam with some updates or mike posting up new parts, no excuses ask them ur questions and troll after we get some meat until then go back to w/e other thread you where in before

what does it matter i don't have a 370z? am i not one of the cool kids? perhaps i care because i am a car enthusiast? i am also a GTM customer so don't bother trying to call me just a "hater" or whatever. Argument I made was completely valid, you disagree?

p.s. i chose not to get the 370z because the loss i would of taken by getting rid of my 350z was greater then the performance differences between the 350z and 370z. It was a great decision because now i have a 350z tt which looks nicer to me then the 370z and it kicks the snot out of the 370z in performance and handling with the mods i've done.

Kingbaby 08-20-2011 05:30 AM

lmao @ 370Z requirement to post

Don't be mad at me! I'm not stirring anything, just stating my opinion. Which another memeber kindly put it into nicer words.

Wtf does having a 370 have to do with anything?

Because if you do not, I don't see why you would really have a vested interest in seeing whether this 370Z can hit 1000hp or beyond. It has nothing to do with looking down on anyone else or that owning a 370Z is necessary to post, I never said or hinted at that so please don't twist my words.

I do find it interesting how the people who consistently come on this thread to stir the pot are not even the ones who own this car and therefore do not have as much of a connection to this build as those who do own a 370z and do not feel the need to stir the pot. It is the internet and anyone is free to post, but what point do you feel you need to prove by berrating this build?

SparkleCityHop 08-20-2011 10:59 AM

psshhht... my car poops rainbows and flies through space singing the nyan song

But seriously, do you not realize that the folks that currently have 350z's are some of the same folks that had the 300Z before they got their 350, etc. There are those of us that are Zcar enthusiasts, who don't care what the 3 digits are before the Z, because we enjoy all members of the family.

Don't try and spin this into being 350 vs 370, because that is nothing but mis-direction.

The interest is genuine... the feel that it is smoke and mirrors is purely a result of the voice/attitude of this thread - the "we are the only 1000hp 370z" with not a single dyno posted, the using it in sigs like it's a proven thing, the comments like "we're days away from posting dynos", then nothing for months, then the "you guys are so mean that we're not going to show you dynos now", etc. Honestly, it sounds exactly like the words of high school kids that cruise/park their cars to show off for girls, talk big, but won't take it to the track/strip to prove anything. I'm not trying to be a jerk - I'm just saying that is how this whole thread looks to the rest of the community.

Some of us are evaluating how much stronger the 370 will be as an FI platform, compared to our existing VQ35 platform, or even against LSx swaps. So just because we don't have a 370 sitting in the garage today doesn't mean that we have no interest in the engine, vehicle, etc.

*Soapbox off*

Kingbaby 08-20-2011 11:19 AM

^^^

I had typed up something that didn't ressemble that at all. Thank you on putting that very subtle!

I mean, I follow 350 builds because I'm curious about what can be done. Nothing wrong with being curious. This was posted and deleted on the 350 forums, so these guys are invested from that as well.
