Oh, thanks Sam.

Didn't realize the ad numbers were BHP.

No problem, This is the only way to rate systems like these. This is due to so many variables in conditions and set ups .

How 's the SC comng for the Z's car.
Winter is comng soon up here in Canada
I need to run the 1/4 mile in the 11's before it snow's
370's do run well with snow tires.

theDreamer 07-30-2010 08:08 PM

Mine is running very well right now and loving it.

Jamaica 07-30-2010 08:10 PM

Just a short 12 hour drive across the entire state of Texas.

tomnavone 07-30-2010 08:40 PM

wish my supercharger got these numbers. Wow a vendor coming through with what they advertised. what a novel idea. Good job gtm for not letting your customers down

Want to put a few more miles on it before I go across the state for anything.

MMC Racing 08-06-2010 10:36 AM

So Stillen sucks - where are all the GTM installs so we can weigh this kit? Have there been more than 3 kits installed to date?

Z eliminator 08-06-2010 11:16 AM

Mine is being shipped next friday. I will post every thing from the dyno to the 1/4 mile times. And if im not happy with it i will be changing it for a GTM turbo,
Next mod will be a new 550 hp Mustang if the Z does not go high 11's.
I saw the new mustang at the track, fast loud and did the 1/4 in 12.0 on stock tires in 90 degee temps.

KaienZ34 08-06-2010 11:49 AM

What mods did that new stang have ?

My kit is in and doing great.

GUTCH 08-06-2010 01:55 PM

Dreamer congrats.

Do you have any dyno figures for us?

theDreamer 08-06-2010 02:08 PM

Here are my first numbers, outside temps were around 95-97, 50% humidity. Since this run the car is running around 6PSI right now and feels to be opening up more.

5.5PSI
371HP
343TQ

NYBladeZ 08-06-2010 02:14 PM

does anyone think that we'll be able to see 500whp from either the stillen to GTM SC kit?

GUTCH 08-06-2010 02:18 PM

I thought the GTM kit was meant to run at 8 PSI.

theDreamer 08-06-2010 02:23 PM

Yes it is on stock manifold & cats, I am not running that setup.
Check my journal thread for more details on what is going on with my build specifically.

If you are are looking for 500 whp then you need to go for a TT set up plain and simple .

Z eliminator 08-06-2010 05:28 PM

Sam you better send me the TT now

MY gtm should make at least 430 rwhp
Car is canada make more power the air s better up here
The mustang was stock on street tire's

5.5PSI
371HP
343TQ

What made you decide to go with the 6psi pulley rather than the eight that they use for their advertised numbers?

theDreamer 08-08-2010 09:19 AM

I am running the 8 psi pulley, I am running long tube headers which will decrease the psi but increase hp.

5.5PSI
371HP
343TQ

Those are better than TT numbers at that PSI

LateralG'z 08-08-2010 09:30 AM

All you need is a pulley change and new tune to make 500 HP not a TT

a larger pulley to bump the PSI up to 8-10 and tune? doesnt seem that difficult to me. TT is more headache than its worth. Especially in the long run when you start having boost leaks, fuel supply issues, impeller wear, etc. It will cost far less to maintain a supercharger setup than anything involving a turbo. Less parts means less areas to troubleshoot if a problem occurs.

Explain how LTH have anything to due with the PSI your blower is making. These are not related.

LateralG'z 08-08-2010 11:11 AM

Sam advertise a 550 HP SC set-up, anyone taking a shot at it?

Really? I will let others explain it better than I can, but my exhaust is more free flowing which creates less pressure and lowers PSI.

It is not just a simple upgrade the pulley and tune, that is one factor. You also have to calculate in the efficiency of the unit, engine capabilities, etc.
