Forged Performance: First Greddy TT Tuned with Uprev

Many of you have been asking for some dyno results from the new Greddy TT 20G tuner kit for the 370Z. Great results on just wastegate pressure 8psi on the Dyno Dynamics Dyno. Jay and Kerry just finished up the install, so they finally had a chance to swing it by for some preliminary dyno tuning. I tuned the car using UpRev reflash process and delivered a nice safe track track tune on WG pressure. If Jay and Kerry report back that the cooling system holds up, we might raise the boost a bit. We are estimating this is about 150whp more than the previous normally aspirated setup.

Looking forward to seeing what Jay can do with it on the track!

Looks really good. What were you able to gain directly from the tune?

shumby 05-11-2010 12:23 PM

lol where are the hammer marks. and the cut subframe pics?

Sharif@Forged 05-11-2010 12:51 PM

Owner of the car did the installation and they reported everything fit very nicely. We just performed the tuning. :)

With the larger injectors and the TT kit installed, the car is not safely drivable without proper tune so there is no "baseline". I started from scratch with a ROM file and worked from there.

Sharif, so between this and the GTM TT kit, what do you think?

JB-370z 05-11-2010 01:13 PM

uh oh......

Chris@FsP 05-11-2010 01:17 PM

Nice flat torque curve!

LOL, oh right...they hate each other. My bad haha.

This is a monster car. Jay and Kerry have done a tremendous job with the setup. I'm sure Jay will see some good times and give some good feedback as the platform develops. Many thanks to him for pioneering the way for the race folk out there. I'm sure even us street guys will learn something from his testing.

Is it just me or is the intercooler dented in a few locations across the top?

JB-370z 05-11-2010 05:03 PM

Not sure if I would want the 20G's in my car, does the TRUST company have upgrades to BB turbos???

Brazilbro 05-11-2010 08:36 PM

BB turbos are not the king of turbos the mitzu/greddy turbos are amazing they spool fast if not just as fast as bb turbos and last a loooooooong time. Ive never rebuilt a greddy turbo even after 5 hard yrs of abuse.. I cant say the same for garret bbs.

fstrnldr 05-11-2010 08:58 PM

Did GReddy ever switch to a water cooled center section, or are they still trying to use oil to cooled turbos on a car that all ready has oil temperature issues?

Brazilbro 05-11-2010 08:59 PM

Oil cooled only

:icon18: They are never going to live that one down.

danielw 06-13-2010 12:29 PM

bb turbo's will spool faster every time than a journal bearing turbo...

nogoodname 06-13-2010 01:09 PM

Did the Greddy kits always require the bumper bar to be removed on the G's and Z's?

Yes, removal is required on all the G's and Z's. No different from the other twin turbo kit on the market.

It is. If I had the kit, I would definitely replace them. I don't trust that foam ****.

Any updates on the Greddy Turbo Kit? What was the max rwhp this car every put down?:driving:

Holy thread dig.....:shakes head:

I am sure that Forged can comment on the power output on the cars that hey have installed that kit on. I am willing to bet that they call also comment on the "lag" that everyone seems to believe that the JB turbos have. Other than that, there is a thread that I created last week asking about the Greddy threads. Link below:

Greddy builds?

Staples 08-03-2011 08:36 PM

I saw a similar kit on a G35 running a twin 20G setup. The lag seemed to be comparable to the twin GT28RS kit, but with a little more room to grow.

roplusbee 08-04-2011 03:52 AM

Agreed.....

I would rather the "experts" chime in and say it so that folks won't whine about me spreading opinions or not knowing what I am talking about.
