Hey Trekkie... If you are concerned about voiding your warranty, then I wouldn't even bother modding it past a drop-in K&N and "maybe" an exhaust system.
Does anyone know if NISMO parts will void a warranty??? I would look it up myself, but...... |
^If you get them installed at Nissan they wont.

You are asking us about mods on a car youre not going to get for a year? Am I the only one who finds this a little pointless? We have no way of giving you any sort of info because god know what will be out by then. All we can tell you is in general terms that you can get a turbo, or keep it NA...

This will go with my pearl white 370z. What about a pair of these: http://oakley.com/pd/6183/22143

twin turbo. don't waste money on bolt ons. Exhaust would be as far as i would go.
|
first thing get used to the car . then think about other things like twin turbo .
but for me i will drive two months and then get cat-back and if the sound wasnt loud enough for me HFC or test pipes and headers+ programing . |
I plan on getting use to the car first of course. I didn't mean I was going to do it right away.

to be honest, its good you want to get use to the car first. Best starting mod to do is exhaust, then from there Y-pipe ad work your way to the cat back area. Dont even bother messing with headers if your going f.i.. After you do that just a tune and some new rims and your set to go until warrenty runs out, then its turbo time :). Well at least thats my plan :)

My plan is to get Stillen's longtube intakes and hfc's (not sure which ones yet) right away when my 370Z is delivered. I still haven't seen an exhaust I've fallen in love with but I'll end up picking one up soon as well. I'll have to see what kind of power headers add and may end up doing those as well if they're worth the hassle. After all that I'll pretty much sit tight and wait for a supercharger kit to become available, saving up the funds for it in the meantime. I figure with the breating mods I should make around 320 at the wheels and with the addition of the supercharger I may get up to 400 or so, which is about the most power I'd want to have in my car.

buy the car first, then we'll talk

whoa, bringing threads back from the dead eh?

Additionally, best to add some gauges (boost controller, A/F, oil pressure, etc), some type of ECU piggyback for same tune when going FI out of the box. That said, what is a ball-park figure ($15K)? |
