Can you guys comment on the power delivery? In terms of turbo lag (or how it compares to being NA), how the car feels in low/mid/high rpm ranges and if temps have been an issue at all. Thanks!

From my experience, turbo lag is very minimal with these turbos. It feels more like a V8 in terms of how instant the torque comes on. Check out the dyno sheet and see how early it makes 400 wtq.

The kit comes with an oil cooler included, but on 91 octane and 8lbs of boost it almost doesn't need it. I haven't taken it to the track yet, but so far during spirited driving on mountain roads it hasn't even gotten as hot as it used to without the turbos. Gets hotter in stop & go uphill traffic, heh.

You could increase the boost for the track or outside CA, but you would need to run E85 to reduce knock or disable the knock sensor in the tune (not recommended for engine health). Then the oil would probably get hotter, but probably still manageable.

Turbo lag is minimal with this kit. They're R35 GTR Turbos, so they're designed for a very similar engine and sit very close to the headers. And of course, two smaller turbos spool faster than a single large one.

If you're in the right gear at the right rpm turbo lag is very minimal.. even less so if you have rolling anti-lag. i've noticed my car prefers a high 2nd hear over a mid to high 3rd gear.i get more lag in 3rd for sure. there "is" lag.. there will always be lag compared to N/A.. but it can be minimalized. very worth turbo'ing these cars over buying a faster car and then making that faster car faster... boosting these turns it into a whole new monster.

Speaking of lag, I read that the NISMO GT-R turbos were upgraded in 2020, taken from the GT3 GT-R, with 10 vanes instead of the previous 11 vanes, for ~20% faster spinup, reducing lag.

I don't know whether the EAC kit uses the newer nimso turbos tho. The non-nismo ones are certainly a bit cheaper. If not, it might make for an interesting upgrade option, if you can find them.

Awesome new video by The Carizon out highlighting the kit and my car! It was a ton of fun cruising around the north coast mountains for the video.

Loved the video. You have a great car, also awesome number plate.

Highway patrol: “you are under arrest, I watched you pull bus length on that Lamborghini, clocked you at 176mph …”

Owner, pops hood: “it’s all stock officer, no way I’m beating a lambo”

Highway patrol: “you are free to go”

That's one reason why I like the Fast Intentions kit so much

Very cool to see a kit like this on the market!!! I won’t be going boost, but man it sounds like a really good deal if you don’t want to worry about legality.

I can only assume that you would be able to get more HP and torque with 93? If so - does anyone know roughly what those numbers would look like? Regardless great vid and seems like a great kit overall - especially for someone who might be starting the search to go boosted.

The power difference between 91 and 93 is going to be marginal. In my opinion, I would get a 91 tune and invest in running flex fuel. The 91 tune allows you to fill up at more stations and gives you headroom for those hot days when the car pulls timing.

Boost plus flex fuel must feel insane if my NA setup has a noticeable difference.

Sometimes I think I understand turbo lag and then I’m unsure again. Is it better to think of turbo lag as “torque” lag or “throttle” lag? From what I can see the power comes on as soon as 2K RPM so unsure where the lag is coming from? Also are there any plans on developing kits for the 350z? Thanks!

If the turbo's are lighting up at 2k rpms they are not laggy at all. They are actually too small but for the power level the person wants works just fine. Go up in the power and they will become a restriction on the exhaust side.

The turbos are appropriately sized for this application to provide fast response and good peak whp. With the supplied turbos and a boost controller , the setup will max out at around 700 whp yet will still have instant response. If aiming for more than 700 whp, a turbo upgrade will need to be performed.
