Maxing out 255lph fuel pump

Question to those who have either Stillen or GTM supercharger kits: what power/boost levels did you max out the provided 255lph fuel pump?

Im making ~9.5psi of boost from my GTM Stage 1 kit and im running lean under hard pulls. The tune needs to add more fuel, increasing linearly up to a max of 20% extra fuel needed near redline. Symptoms of losing fuel pressure according to Eugene. I installed a fuel pump relay kit which didn’t help the issue. 340lph pump already on order.

I’m probably only making 450whp or so, which seems low to max out a 255lph pump. Anyone else need to go to a 340lph at this power level?

FYI this wasn’t a fuel pump problem, which makes sense because I suspect a 255LPH should make a bit more power than my car is currently.

The issue is fighting fuel pressure drop on a returnless system. Between the lack of a boost-reference fuel pressure regulator, and the pressure drop in the stock fuel lines, fuel pressure is likely high 30s PSI when it should be 52 PSI.

ECUTEK can compensate for this with longer injector duty cycles to increase fuel flow, but only an additional 20%.

My next plans are to swap to 8AN fuel supply line and at some point a boost reference FPR.

Why not, just install a fuel return system?

Yup a return system with the regulator at the rails is the way to do it. I just haven’t gotten to it yet.

For now, ECUTEK is able to compensate my setup adequately because I need less than 20% extra fuel compensation.

Affirm the fuel return from CJM lol.. its worth it. Why only get a 345 when a 525 is only like 150-200 bucks? what size injectors are you running? looking at the fuel return that I installed myself it should be easy to re-create without spending all the money on cjm's (though I do recommend it). For your hp range the fuel pump relay wouldnt be the issue though its always good that you did it. I just completed my build, did everything myself so any questions in ref to boost lmk. I completely built my car on my own.

Thanks for the reply. 525 would be totally overkill for my setup. Don’t plan on making more than ~500whp with my setup so a 340 is plenty.

A return system with FPR and larger lines is definitely in the cards for the future. Plan on DIY’ing it. Already have the 8AN lines in the garage
