I have the 305's mounted both say outside and outside but when you look at them the tread's go in opposite directions?? Do you think I have 2 Left side tires??

Left Tire

Right Tire- But I would have to rotate it to get the rove lines on the inside then the treads would go opposite directions......

directional tires don't have an "inside/outside", they have a rotational direction.

Caravanshaka 03-17-2010 11:39 AM

if the indeed have "outside" written on them, then they should be asymmetric

vipor 03-17-2010 11:42 AM

My tires (stock Yokos) are directional and have an "outside"

yoko advan sports are asymmetrical as well...

FuszNissan 03-17-2010 11:44 AM

so is this normal to have pattern in opposite direction

Caravanshaka 03-17-2010 11:47 AM

you have RE-11's right? then they are asymmetrical per bridgestone and as long as you mounted the outside part of the tire towards the face of the wheel you are goldne.

FuszNissan 03-17-2010 11:48 AM

So weird. It's screwing with my mind...lol Yeah there RE-11's

semtex 03-17-2010 11:56 AM

Both tires are facing forward? Like we're looking at them from behind their direction of rotation?

FuszNissan 03-17-2010 12:01 PM

No I haven't spun one, just saying then the tread groves go the opposite way.

Caravanshaka 03-17-2010 12:04 PM

ok, look at this picture:

http://www.driftking.net/re11/P1060086-mid.jpg

see how the angled grooves are on the outside part of each wheel, that is how yours should be.

FuszNissan 03-17-2010 12:05 PM

Looks fine then. Just threw me the way the groves would cut opposite directions one rotated the right way

Caravanshaka 03-17-2010 12:08 PM

ya, they are a little weird that way, but according to their site they are asymmetrical and that is the correct way to mount them.

FuszNissan 03-17-2010 12:15 PM

Yeah, I am so used to directional, it just threw me for a loop looking at them. I was like wait a minute they are both Left side rear tires. Learn something new everyday.

semtex 03-17-2010 12:16 PM

Michelin PS2s are the same way if that makes you feel any better.

FuszNissan 03-17-2010 12:25 PM

Just me being OCD.
