What are the advantages of going with Rotrex over a Procharger unit?

Half dozen? More like 10 dozen. :rofl2: |

It's a fair question. All that needs to be said is that they are so similar it is comparing apples to apples.
|
Got a customer that's excited to get his soon. Looking forward to tuning it on the dyno.
|
I'm excited as well. Please let us know when they get shipped out. Will be sitting outside waiting for the kit to arrive.
|
Multiple kits will be shipping this week. I will be shipping as "Hold at Fedex location" closest to the provided address. This protects both parties from porch pirates and over handling. I have seen how FedEx and UPS deliver heavy boxes. They usually slam them down on the cement approach and then if nobody is home they slam them back into the truck and repeat the cycle.

Here are some highlights of the new Topgun Speedworks ROTREX kit vs the vortech setups.
Obviously belt slip is a big concern for the supercharger crews. If you know anything of the other setups out there then it's easy to agree. We have vetted out any and all belt slip even when making up to 22psi of boost! Here are a few pictures of our routing vs the vortech routing on the serpentine side. As you can see there is much more wrap around the drive belt where slip commonly occurs. We also use custom high diameter idlers which reduces belt wear and dust. Below you can see we also have increased the supercharger side belt from 8 rib to 10 rib. This obviously creates much more grip. More on the ease of adjustability in a later post. RIP belt slip!!!! http://www.the370z.com/members/topgu...23082726-n.jpg http://www.the370z.com/members/topgu...68531489-n.jpg http://www.the370z.com/members/topgu...93154392-n.jpg http://www.the370z.com/members/topgu...87569086-n.jpg |
More highlights of the ROTREX kit.
It will take you longer to find your Allen wrench then to adjust the idler. Literally 10 second adjustment! Most guys remove the supercharger on vortech setups. If not be prepared to say 20 new swear words and come out with beef jerky hand. This design is built for simplicity and end user in mind. http://www.the370z.com/members/topgu...79966293-n.jpg http://www.the370z.com/members/topgu...72739932-n.jpg |
93 Oct 340lph fuel pump not for sale by speedworks?
Looking good Aaron!
I was just putting the pricing together for this and noticed even though the web page says the 93 Oct 500hp components are all available on the main page there is no 340lph pump/kit/V stabilizer on there. Just the 450 for E85. Am I missing something? Cheers :) |

I am really pleased with the ACE kit, but if I can "move the graph to the left" and put a full filter as well, then I would like to have the new kit. |
Unfortunately, I am no longer offering the buyback option. This is due to the fact that it caused me way to many headaches.
Of the 3 kits I received back so far, one was packed HORRIBLY and the bracket punched out the sidewall of the box and I had to replace it (at my cost). One did not have the shipping plug inserted instead of the vent plug and the whole box and unit was covered in oil, which I had clean and replace (at my cost). One did not have all of the components in it i had asked to be returned. I hope you can understand that I cannot continue to deal with this. If you want the Rotrex kit you will need to purchase it from me. I can offer discounts to repeat customers. If you want to save on install then you just replace the components that need to be replaced and sell the ACE kit as a used kit with lots of brand new parts. Theres really only 3 parts that change. It is the main bracket with SC attached already, SC charge pipe (that goes across the engine bay) and the driver side intake pipe. And a couple of couplers. So theres no need to touch the intercooler, passenger piping, coolant tank system, etc... |
What a bunch of di**. Now you can thank the 3 tool bags for ruining for you all

Z1Motorsports offers NO REFUND if you send back a core (ie: upper intake manifold for porting service) that arrives damaged due to bad packaging. Please consider doing something like that, everything properly detailed. Now with this bad experience you can discount a lot if it's oil in the packaging and zero refund if damaged. Saying that beforehand will ensure that the customers put a bit of effort to do thing right when sending it back to you. When money penalty is involved things change. |

Honestly, as a "small business" operator myself, I cringed when I saw TopGunz offering a buyback!
The logistics of it are not worth it. |
Is anyone getting the Rotrex kit for a 7AT and running moderate power gains?
I'm looking to see the outcome of a kit that is installed on a 7AT car, tuned primarily for 91, runs full air intake filter and will be daily driven. I know most people getting this kit will be installing it on upgraded 6MT cars and going all-out (jealous!) but I am hoping that someone is going for a more restrained approach on a 7AT car that I can follow. |

Will be installed on 2014 7AT(fast intentions flex plate) car with stock engine, not a daily driver. Full CJM fuel return system/billet rails with 450 pump and ID 1300 injectors. Also will have flex fuel. Starting out with just a 93 pump gas tune then bringing in the E85 afterwards. Hoping for around 550wheel on pump and 600 on E85, I feel like that is moderate compared to what Topgunz says this is capable of. Currently have all parts ready for install other than Topgunz Kit. |

I can only get 91 in my state, and anywhere from 400 to 450whp would be fine for me. I don't want to push the 7AT too hard. I had a 2016 GTI that lost it's DSG transmission at 20K miles with a Stage 1 tune, those DSGs were supposed to be "bulletproof" but that was an eye opener! |

Correct me if I’m wrong Topgunz, but I don’t think he did it for money but more for customer satisfaction. The buyback was only on the ACE kit that came out a few months before and I can imagine buyers being pretty pissed to see a superior product come out right after they bought the already latest and greatest. It’s unfortunate those clowns had to ruin it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

In other news, we just sent a kit out the door to a big name shop that is going to push this thing hard. I cant wait to see what they can do with this monster. Buckle up!
@Dynosty |
OK, so no buyback program. I get that. But what is the pricing and availability for the parts needed to convert from an ACE kit?

Yes, I've seen that. It says basically buy a whole new kit and sell what u don't need. Of course, thats always been an option, from day one. I'm trying to understand what the cost would be to get just the parts needed to convert, similar to what I did in converting from the Gen 1 kit to the Gen 2 (ACE) kit.

It would be $5150 to send out everything you need to turn the ACE kit into a Rotrex kit.
Remember, this is an entirely new head unit (MSRP $2800) with the oiling system ($3250 msrp total) , new bracket with all new pulleys and new belt setup. New aluminum cast driver side intake, charge pipe, SC intake with filter, boost control hardware. |
Thank you Aaron.
