Anyone know how to read compressor maps? Can you tell by the boost curve shown in red on my dyno log if my blower is running in the efficiency range of the compressor map?

Noop, I have never been great at reading compressor maps.

That's good to know. Now if I could only figure out why it's making less power at 19 psi

How much HP does it take to spin the blower?

Leingod 11-09-2020 07:27 AM

So the first graph. I can see it starts as a cat 1 and slowly grows in size to at least a cat 4. Looks like it'll want to round to the left and bounce off the gulf causing Texas to flood. That's my reading of it at least....

Not sure. When I bought it from them, they told me that it would be an ideal blower for my car. I'm calling them this morning to see if I can more info. That's the only thing I can think of is that my stock motor can't spin it into it's efficiency range.

Exactly, it gives me a general idea. I'm going to leave it up to vortech to tell me if what's really going on
