Yep kinda unfortunate.. I was quoted 15k USD which translates to 20.1k CAD before all the duties and fees as well.. A local place I found was quoting me 13k CAD.

Switchback and soho is the same exact kit for the most part to help clear things up.

Alright. I think I have made my decision on the BP kit.

Let me see if I can explain in text. The thermostatic plate has 2 extruded male fittings on it which match the AN female fittings on the hoses that route to the cooler. The male fittings have gaskets which tend to tear and compress unevenly when the male fittings are tightened. I bought an entirely new plate, just to scavenge gaskets surrounded by a metal ring to prevent that. I also had leaks at both elbows of the AN fittings.

Thanks for the details. The new lines are all crimped fittings, so no chance of leaks at elbow. The fitting now include dowty washers as well. So an improvement and correction to the issues you had.

Right now I am debating to build the Z or another car that will give me the power I want for less. From what it seems is that there are other cars that handle the power better and are more mod happy... I want to just ask if you have any ideas on a good platform that can take the power and still be relatively cheap and can hold the power and not blow after 1500km...

Depends on what your taste in cars is like. If you're just looking to make power and go fast there's a handful of platforms out there that take well to mods. How much did you want to spend and what are you looking to get out of it?

Im honestly looking for just straight power. although I do not want an ugly car but that's subjective so don't worry about that. My end all power goal is 800whp. I am looking for a platform that can do this for cheaper than what the Z can. I also need to factor in the price of the car but that's dependent on where I live and what I can find where I am. I would like it to be relatively light, around the Z's weight because that means more speed vs say a 4000lbs car. Vettes are 25-40k where I am that is in CAD which is 19k-30k USD for reference. Preferably it would be a Japanese cars as I have a thing for them unlike American Muscle and their V8's..... Ew. If it comes to a V8 though and I see that it can make power for less and is a good platform them so be it. Anyways thats basically what I want. Thanks.

Buy a Miata or civic if you’re worried about weight. Damn GTr is a pig and will smoke a lot of cars on the road.
