You'll be making the right move if you learn a trade. A mechanic cannot be outsourced to China. Learn to build things, to fix things. Better than a college education these days.

Hardly true, but better than nothing, yes.

Exactly....Most Applications in the works for the Z will be in the 6-10psi area and punch you up 100hp (or more).

I work with Audi turbos all the time that will hold a steady 22-23psi, but that's a block that was originally designed as a diesel.

Every block has certain limitations to say nothing of the rods and bottom end.. Don't use PSI as the be all/end all

Not to mention the VQ has an aluminum block. Although I think even the EVOs are aluminum now, which is just amazing considering the boost levels involved.

OP- do you even OWN a Z?

I can appreciate your joke, but I am not going to touch that one anymore.

Just curious, how did the Mitsu engine hold up under 22psi/24psi? Any smoke coming out of the exhaust that was maybe darker then usual? I wish I had a dime for every Evo and WRX I've seen over the past few years that were burning oil at an alarming rate.

I ran my STi at 22 PSI on the street and 30 PSI on race gas (with GT30R .82AR), and it burned less oil than my N/A M3.

30 psi on a gt30... thats like 450whp.
