370z Twin Turbo Owners?

I know a few ppl have turbo'ed their 370's ( thx guys), but where are you. How are the cars running? Are you satisfied with the results. I haven't heard anything from you guys in a long time. Are you having so much fun you forgot about your fellow Z enthusiast? Please update,

Do you happen to know if its coolant or oil related?

bullitt5897 12-19-2009 09:02 PM

I will let u know of my status when mine gets installed :-) I am having the GTM stage 3 installed with some other heavy duty components including a race oil cooler. The kit should be in my hands before new years or the 1st week in Jan which then will go straight to Forged performance to get installed :)

oil related

I was thinking the same thing ~ where are these TT guys and why havnt we heard from them? You would think with that bad *** setup you would want to share the love. Is there some other, cooler, 370z forum that only TT owners prowl?? haha

Thx Bullitt, at least someone will keep us in the loop. It makes me think they might be having problems. I hope not but it seems strange they are not bragging.

Our customer who had us Twin Turbo his 370Z isn't having any issues at all with 500WHP.

AAM, guess that oil pan spacer was key, I'm interested to know if you guys are working on obtaining the ability to work with the engine timing when tuning the Z

NYBladeZ 12-21-2009 12:53 PM

damn this is worrying I was about to go ahead with a TT setup and I don't plan to track it anytime soon I really don't want to have overheating issues on street driving. I'm assuming since it's not an AAM customer with overheating issues it had to be the GTM kit.

Yeah the OP spacer is very nice - makes for a seamless and minimally invasive install. Plus it allows you to run a 1/8th npt oil temp sensor, and an extra quart of oil, and clean oil return lines.

We also highly recommend installing a engine oil cooler when TT your 370Z. They don't have one as OE - so it is something that should be done when doing high hp modification or for vehicles which will be hitting the track often. Actually, its just an all around GREAT mod. Nothing wrong with keeping the engine cool.

Also - We have that ability to manipulate the timing. We have no problem controlling the timing. I am not sure where or how this keeps getting perpetuated.

seems to me an Oil Cooler should be the first performance mod beyond basic bolt ons. probably even the first if you plan on tracking at all.

RCZ 12-22-2009 09:30 AM

Clint,

Its because everyone who has been tuning with cobb and uprev software has been unable to tune timing past the ECU's idea of adequate.

Chris@FsP 12-23-2009 03:08 PM

Is anyone with a TT 370 running a full standalone ecu?

danielw 12-23-2009 10:14 PM

everything is r and d at this point shops have told there customers to keep things hush is basically how this sort of thing works. Shops are gonna want to figure out what works and what doesn't before putting their name out there.
