Innovate Motorsports ECF-1 gauge
Anyone using this Innovate Motorsports ECF-1 (4 in 1) gauge? Just wondering how well it works, if you're happy with it?

Pretty slick.

I was thinking that gauge along with this one and that pretty well covers it.

You will need a boost gauge... which IMO is the most important gauge when boosted. That being said, I am in the vast minority here on which gauges are actually important. I only run a boost gauge in the pillar and nothing else besides OEM.
edit: I forgot which kit you are running... Supercharged? If supercharged than boost gauge might not even be all that important. |
Yep, supercharged, that's why I didn't list a boost gauge. It's probably not a bad idea but I think the afr gauge might be the most important. I'll be on flex fuel that's why I wanted the ethenol content.
I was trying to get the most out of a 2 pod set up. |
Will you be able to use one flex fuel sensor for both the gauge and the ecu? I see they sell one w/o the sensor if you already have one. Im assuming its just a matter of sharing the signal by splicing some wires?

I've been using an ECF-1 for over a year now with no issues. Re-purposed the fuel pressure sensor to do oil pressure as the G doesn't have an oil pressure gauge. I thought the display would be too small but its actually pretty easy to read at all times of day. Added bonus: if you are ECUTek tuned you can data log the four data-points as well with the ECUTek software.
If you are going to go flex-fuel you will need to wire in the sensor (tap into the EVAP) so you can get the signal to the ECU. |

I'm wondering if this gauge might be a better choice instead of the ECF-1?

Just curious... why have a full time ethanol content gauge? Ecutek can display ethanol content on the oil temp gauge if you need to check it. Is there a reason you'd want to know all the time?
I ask because I am discussing my E85 upgrade with Seb as well, and I am currently planning to run just the sensor with no gauge. |

For me, I am also hoping I don't need to order more flex fuel hardware. This gauge comes with O2 sensor, manifold pressure sensor, flex fuel sensor, and the gauge itself can output e% content via 0-5v analog output (needed by ECU). If you're going flex, you need all those things, and they just happen to be part of a nice gauge.
Seb says Ill still need an ECA-2, but haven't seen why Id need that yet. Just FYI. He's also not a fan of the o2 sensor that comes with the gauge. |
If anyone missed the black friday sale I can get these for the prices below:
ECF-1 - $400 Shipped w/E85 sensor - $440 Shipped ECB-1 - $360 Shipped w/E85 Sensor - $400 |
Dang, Let us know what else you can get Topz. :) Always up for supporting guys like you.

Just in case you color match it - look up Lee Gels- Terry Red (color).. Matches the oem quite nicely https://www.flickr.com/photos/159810.../shares/yF3k28

Reviving this thread. Did anyone get anymore clarification if the ECA-2 is needed even though the ECB-1 has an ethanol sensor? I'm planning to run the Innovate SCG-1 gauge for boost and AFR and possibly the MTX-D for ethanol content with the sensor.
