Dyno is for tuning..You can make a dyno say what you want. Track times not so much. Anyway it's great to see it out on the streets:rock:!

I checked out the video and could only think WTF??? I didn't expect much, but I didn't expect to see a low angle drift. I can wait for the real one though. How long till you start working on the Z?

Are you complaining? seriously?

Not really. It just wasn't what I was expecting. I guess my expectations are a little misplaced. Sorry for the confusion.:ugh2:

Either one can yield good info if we can get a comparison on the same dyno or track on the same day of other cars like, say, an M3 or an IS-F.

Stillen, in your opinion, what is an acceptable range for adiabatic efficiency?

One thing that is important to me is having room to grow with the supercharger. If I need to crank up the boost to make more power, I want to know that I am within an acceptable adiabatic efficiency.

What are your thoughts? I'm thinking above 70% is acceptable.

Josh@STILLEN 02-27-2010 09:26 PM

LOL.. what are you trying to do Liquid spin these poor guys brains?

To save everyone from googling to death, here's a good article which gives you some insight on adiabatic efficiency and what he's discussing: Supercharger & Blower Basics - Tech Article - Chevy High Performance Magazine

As far as this exact supercharger, and our setup, I'd have to refer to our engineers to get an idea of what this lays out to, but I will tell you the system has been designed around the fact that we're not pushing the current S/C to the limit, and within the current series we've spec'd, there is also additional trims that can support much more..

well I know on the Vortech site, it says the V-3 is capable of boosting up to 22psi with max power at 775hp with an efficiency of 78%, is that what hes referring to?

Can I get a race gas only tune? ;)

It would be nice to have a tuner with a map that can be selected for race gas only, wish Cobb would get off their a$$es and do something.

We have some stuff in the works.. :) Will do everything you're asking about..

RCZ 02-27-2010 10:35 PM

we'll have to wait and see.

That must be on a V-8 that is putting out more volume. Something like a Vette or something with similar displacement.

What exactly are you referring to?

This is what I was talking about from earlier. I actually got crossed up in the forum here. Somehow, I made a multi-quote reply from one thread to another. Kinda messed me up. I am going to stick to one tab at a time now, lol.
