I personally don't have that answer.. I'll find out..

I love the simplicity of the piping. I think I can see the single intake filter peeking out from behind that Stillen grille. From there it's a pretty short, straight path from the SC to the intake manifold. Also, from the vid, it looks like it's getting tested on an auto. Will be interesting to see how well it will take the extra power, since we already know the 6 speed handles it pretty well.

That thing looks so awesome guys. Big thumbs up from me.

Can you guys confirm if the blower is a V-3?

G37Sam 01-23-2010 11:32 AM

I think they did confirm it a while back, don't quote me though

This looks like an awesome package. Can't wait for performance data.

The intercooler is not connected just yet. Which is also why we have not released any information about boost and horsepower.

The intercooler is out being made right now and should be arriving any in about four or five days. Even though the intercooler is not hooked up we can still learn a lot about how the car's running. We're able to watch the belts, brackets, hoses and alignment on everything and make sure everything is happy. We're also able to begin working on our tuning a little bit and get us even closer so that when the intercooler does arrive we can wrap up the final touches.

Looks like an intersting set up. Can't wait to see the finished product. I hope the pressure side piping and manifold clears the strut bar on the and other components on the Z.

that has got to be one interesting intercooler core if it is a bar and plate with the in and out fittings on the same side. Must have welded separator bar down the middle of each layer and split the end tank. Unless it's a ghey tube style core.

What about belt rattling? The Vortech kits for the 350Z were really noisy. Josh, can we have a video with the s/c idling?

This has been my one huge gripe with the SC kits. I don't mind a subtle SC whine, its actually kind of sexy but if it sounds like this then oh hell fcuking no...

^I think that S/C sound in the video sounded pretty sick, it almost sounds like a turbo, but different.

zinistr 01-24-2010 09:23 AM

I'm not sure I'd say it sounds like a turbo...but I definitely don't like the sound in that video.

Silo 01-24-2010 09:27 AM

Yeah, s/c whine is one thing but belt rattling is something that you wouldn't like:

YouTube - vortech rattl*

I hope STILLEN kit will not suffer from the same issue.

[EDIT] I eventually watched the above posted video, the rattle is clearly audiable there as well and it sounds like a jet at idle - not everyones taste and not subtile for sure. STILLEN screw-type charger for 350Z was the exact opposite and OEM-like solution (except the hood cowl).
