You also have my A2A kit in your hands that is going on that car right? You ditch the suffocation boot and use the direct fit filter I include in the kit.

Yup. I didnt realize you also included parts for the intake.. I figured it was just the intercooler kit.

Yup. Remember to look in the filter box for the reducing collar and the rest of the Tial parts should be in there too.

My new build is basically done just need to get the motor broken in but Im shooting for 7-750 at 20-21 psi.

TopgunZ 06-01-2017 09:45 PM

Dang. I'm thinking you will need a v2 for that amount of psi.

How fast is that blower going to have to spin for that?

I think I will be able to get to 18-19 easily (because it has been done down in FL by Titan Motorsports) but getting the next few psi could be hard but I think it is possible.

I think around 68000. I had my supercharger rebuilt by 928 motorsports and they say I am good at that RPM.

TopgunZ 06-02-2017 08:21 AM

This should be very interesting. Can you please start a new thread for this?

For that kind of RPM, yeah they can replace the bearings with some hybrid ceramics, but how about the impeller wheel, shouldn't that also need to be machined for much better balance? The limit imposed on these units takes into account both of those aspects.

I'm running the '9 psi' pulley and at 7500 engine RPM the impeller is spinning at just a hair over 56000. Do you know the diameter of your input pulley?

Their impeller is balanced to within .006g/inch at 60,000 RPM. So it will obviously be spinning faster but I don't think it will be enough to cause concern. Im going to start with a new combination and go from there. The 9 psi pulley, 2.85" supercharger pulley, and 3.47" jackshaft pulley. We might be bumping my redline up a little as well.

You guys w/ superchargers...what kinda quarter miles are you running?

I ran an 11.6 at 124 on my old setup. Should be much faster now.

What is the diameter of the 9 psi (or lb pulley as it is otherwise referred to) pulley?
