The problem I have is your going through hoops to bandaid a problem. So what if you get one for less than $5k. You still have a transmission that can break... or you can get a fully built trans that can take whatever you throw at it. To me it's a clear decision but that's probably because I have built so many of these cars that I am at a point to spend money where it counts. Going cheap just means double the labor in 90%+ cases... and then buying the right part the after I spent money on the cheap fix...

Maybe I missed a couple post's ,but who has had success with the level ten trans and high HP?

400 ftlb ~= 540 Nm of torque. This is pretty good for a stock trans that wasn't designed for forced induction yeah?

http://www.the370z.com/forced-induct...370z-info.html The 370z has the RE7R01A, the B is the higher rated transmission in other Nissan/Infiniti cars which has been discussed if possible to just put in a 370z but never done. Probably because in is just cheaper to build the factory transmission at that point. Torque Rating: RE7R01A: 400Nm (295lb) RE7R01B: 600Nm (442lb) |
So any ETA when the kits are going to be released?
